another thing...go to scribble jam or cop the 99 one where dose enters the freestyle battles...he hold his own against P.E.A.C.E from freestyle fellowship who in my opinion is one of the better freestyle rappers. I think P.E.A.C.E got Eyedea but they are alittle prejudiced at scribble jam...at least the fans are. The fans are predominantly white suburban coffee shop kids who just want white guys to win. Sage you won fair and square and so did ADeeM but i think the crowd is biased.

if dose could put out a song half as good as gods bathroom floor or the woman w/ tatooed hands, etc., i would actually listen to him diss slug. but the fact is that slug is a much better artist, and dose one has no room to diss him in any way. for the most part, DOSE CANNOT RHYME!!!!! and again i will ask this question: who DOESNT anticon have beef with? haha someone please tell me.

Overcast <Hemispheres > Lucy Ford

God hates ugly and blessed Dose with an amazing voice and mind and the potential to use them.

Everybody will be playing catch-up with Dose's work in '97 until '07.

i have the album, thanks.

i agree with stretchMIND and soul khansenses, except I don't take sides to say which artist is better, cause they are both very dope in many ways. the only thing that sucks is that there is no more DPD.

anyone heard Paging Dr. Moon Or Gun on themselves, dose sings and it's bad ass, only dose could get away with something like that.

Dose One is the worst thing ever. I can't even call him an emcee because he moans. he doesn't even spit! To diss slug is rediculous. he is just jealous that he doesn't sell as many records or is as popular as much as slug is. The only thing that is good on anticon is when slug and eyedea released some songs on a couple of compilation albums and sage's stuff. everything else sucks major ass.

How the hell is Dose One going to rock a live show. I have seen slug many of times and he gets the crowd hype. He puts on one of the best shows I have ever seen. I've seen sage many times and he can rock a live show and have music with depth. Dose is just a studio emcee. Many of you have forgot what hip hop is about. Hip Hop isn't a picasso painting. If you want art got to the museum.

How do you know he is dissing slug? Have you actully heard the track? Also learn how to spell please.

How exactly do you know who sells more records? Last time I checked cLOUDDEAD where pretty well known the world over. I couldn't say the same thing about Slug. (Although I do rate him as an MC.)

Yeah but thats just like... your opinion man.

I am curious to know why people think it is about Slug, there doesn't seem to be anything in the song to point to such a conclusion. Why would Dose have any beef with Slug in the first place? They where in the same band after all, so I would assume they used to be friends.

The song seems to be "a diss song" about certain elements of hip hop, not directed at any artist in particular. I mean the line "shove the gun up your ass", how does this relate to slug? Does he carry a peice? Or the Homophobia, Adultary lines. Common themes in certain types of hip hop, but I don't see how they relate to Slug.

It is my opinion, and I will stick with it. Everybody is a bunch of anticon dick riders. They really have never accomplished anything except for putting out mediocre music. (Exept for sage, but I don't consider him on anticon) There is a few things on anticon that I like (Deep Puddle Dynamics, advancement of Hip Hop), but I just think they are overrated and they get too many props because it is cool to be artsy hip hop. I can only listen to hemispheres because, most of it was produced by j. rawls. I will give him that. the beats are mad nice on that album. Anticon has really never brought anything to the table that has blown my mind like damn this is some shit right here.

Jealousy and envy is the reason that dose would have beef with slug. Do you know people that you used to be friends with and you don't like them now? And if he is dissing the hip hop culture, he is more of an ass than I already thought he was. Dose is so far off on a tangent that he is nowhere close to hip hop culture. Just because someone rhymes over beats doesn't make them a part of hip hop culture.

I don't think that anything that Dose released has been on the billboard charts. When Modern Man's Hustle came out it was on the hip hop singles chart and it was only released on vynil. So I think that slug does sell more then Dose. I know a lot more people that are a fan of atmosphere and don't even know who Dose is.

you think dose gives a shit about hip-hop charts? if he did, he could probably be on them.

if you liked personal journals, then you can't hate anticon. they produced most of the album with sage.

anticon didn't produce shit  Reply with quote

I don't think slug cares about the charts either. I was just making my point of the volume of sales that he has. And you don't have to have a certain kind of music to be on the charts. You just need a fan base to get on the charts. So obviously he doesn't have as many fans as slug. And dose does want to be on the charts, because if he was he would be selling many albums and he would be getting fat paid. All this underground mentality about selling out and money. Everyone hates on people that are making money, because they wish they were making money. Do you think that these artists want to be broke and worry about if they are going to be able to pay their bills. I don't think so.

Joey Beats did the production on sage's album not the anticon camp. I am saying nothing about the beats, because some of the stuff that I have heard from the production side of anticon has been pretty decent. I just feel like they would be better songs if they were instrumentals.

as was said, I think the cLOUDDEAD record has sold a lot more copies than anything Atmosphere has put out, not that it matters. That record was on all over the place last year...trust me, that isn't Dose's concern, its certainly not jealousy, why would he as a fairly successful independent emcee/artist/whatever be jealous of another person in the same place? It's apples and oranges as style goes anyways, do you honestly think that Dose thinks he COULD achieve the pop-popularity that Slug could? No way, come now, it's obvious.

Wow you're not that bright, check this out:

Crack Pipes, Different, Buckets of Silence, Cup of Tea produced by Sixtoo
Personal Journalist, Inherited Scars produced by DJ Mayo
Climb Trees, Smoke and Mirrors produced by Jel
Messages Sent produced by Alias
Specialist produced by Controller 7

the only track Joe did was Runaways, the Non-Prophets _Hope_ LP will all be produced by Joe and all the aforementioned producers are Anticon affiliates if not primary _members_. Read the liner notes dumb ass.
