I copped this at the Buffalo show. Fly as all hell - really, a great representation of a live Sage show. I always felt a little disappointed by Dead Poet Live - it was very good, but seemed like it was missing something. This is a fantastic fix. Incidentally, I wet myself when I saw "Next Testament" on there - fucking fantastic one to bring back.

However... it also makes me want a Sol.illaquists / Sage Francis live CD. Much love to Gruvis Malt and The Gimme Fund, but SoS really compliments Sage, and he compliments them. Will this happen?

What does everyone else whose picked it up think of Road Tested?

I have yet to receive it, I've ordered it though. I can't wait.

I liked the other live album too, so my expectations for this are very very high.

No, it actually is "compliment", heh.

And I think the album is great, but yeah, a little more SoS-backed material would have been stellar.

Unless he is saying that Sol.illaquists literally say nice things to or about Sage, and vice-versa, no. It's complement.

Whoa, learn something new every day. I wonder why none of my teachers ever picked up on that.

Your math teacher would...

And no way, Gimme Fund over SOS all day. Sage had much more of a hand in crafting that, and it showed. SOS is working with an already formed group, and you have to take the bad with the good.

When I saw the FCC tour it was a couple shows after The Gimme Fund fell apart, Sage told me at the show. They sound great on the new live album.

I agree with a live CD with SOS....I really dug their background vocals for Sage on the last tour

I've noticed at your shows, on DVDs, on live discs and whatnot you consistently have trouble with sound men. During Cappucino (great song btw) when you say "Can we turn these guys up? What the fuck was that sound check for?"

I laughed - because a sound man can make or break a show and most people don't realize it.
