Falling in love 2 quick.  Reply with quote

So I have finally remembered my user name and password.

So now I need some opinions on this. Im going out with a Slovakian girl who I have fallen for very badly ….she feels the same too. She may go back to Slovakia within a year due to family issues. I am going to spend Christmas over there and meet the family. She is a girl that is exactly the same as me loves the same music, boxing, UFC/Pride, porn. She is amazingly fit. She is teaching me Slovakian. The thing is that it is scaring me cos we have only been going out 4 months. Do you think it is ok for 2 people to fall in love in such a short period of time? All other relationships have taken me a good year or 2 to feel like this….I guess I cant help the way I feel. Has anyone here ever fallen that quickly!??

BTW
You people make me laugh a lot and fill my brain full of knowledge and advice …so big thanks for all that.

4 months is long enough to be in love, just let time take its course, because you are still in the puppy love stage. No stupid decisions. Eventually whatever defenses that are still up will relax, then you will find out if this shit is for real.

Yesterday I fell in love with a MILF in line for a burrito, mentally molested her, and kicked her to the curb... figuratively.

No no stupid decisions yet. And i hate the term love in general and i cringe when i see the falling in love sh1t. But everyone gets caught up in that net at least once in there life....time to create a new post i think anyway...seems kind of weird now that i would tell strangers about my concerns that so far have only been in my head....love this forum.

Just beware of what you do and say. Don't do anything that you will regret later. It's always good to err on the side of caution.

Trust me....i aint gonna make the same mistake i made with one of my x's. I went out with her for about 3.5 years and was about to get engaged to her....then she saw passion of christ and broke up with me saying it was not about me and her anymore "it was about her and god now."....Then she got married 4 months later 2 a born again...even tho she knew that we were meant to be getting engaged. Probably why im getting scared about this one.

but don't be too scared... i mean, trust! don't be unrealistic, but trust. there's nothing wrong with love. and people who err on the side of caution may not be disappointed as much, but they're also sure not going to be as fulfilled.

Well I mean err on the side of caution in reference to watching what comes out of your mouth. Trust, yes, but be careful of who you put your trust in.

I dont really follow the 'Jump... and the net will appear' school of thought.

Im keeping my cards close to my chest in a way. But dont forget she may have to go back to Slovakia in a year. so really difficult to jump into that safety net knowing that it could snap within a year. Think i am just going to ride it out but who knows what may happen.

Yeah, that's basically my philosophy as well.

I don't think there's any set time on falling in love with someone...It's different for everyone, though, I'm not too cool on the idea of falling for someone within the first two-three months, that sets things up to be disastrous most of the time...Four months is definitely the puppy love stage, so I would be somewhat cautious...Due to the circumstances, however, it seems you might have to evaluate the situation sooner rather than later...You live only once...And plus, learning Slovakian, and a girl who likes Pride/UFC...Good signs, good signs...

Peace

See I agree, I think you're still in the puppy love stage, which is a stage where everything is perfect. But when it's real love, it's not perfect, that's when you know it's real. Personally, I've never been in love, I'm too picky to fall.
