Body Cleansing.  Reply with quote

The Master Cleanser program is built around the idea
of a therapeutic fast. A lemonade-type drink and
water are all that are consumed daily for a minimum of
5 days to a maximum of 40 days. The lemonade drink is
freshly made each day as follows:

2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice (with pulp!),
usually that's like a half a lemon.

2 Tbs. Grade B or C Maple Syrup -- Grade A is too
clarified, not enough minerals.

1/10th to 1/4th tsp. cayenne pepper -- burns

10 oz of water (luke warm is best)

Drink as many glasses per day as you desire but always
drink a minimum of at least three glasses. Aim for
six. And remember, you're drinking for tomorrow. You
might have a lot of energy on not a lot of juice, but
then you wake up the next morning and you won't be
able to get out of bed! Eat NO FOOD on the Master
Cleanser program.

You may drink as much water as you want, and any pure
teas. Peppermint is the best, since your mouth gets
pretty yucky, but green is good too. But NO sugar,
milk or honey in your tea. Also, if the lemon drink
gets tiresome, feel free to add some tea (in place of
some of the water). It helps a lot. Oh! Try to drink a
"bowel moving" tea (usually made with senna) every
night to help in the morning.

Starting on the morning of the second day, you should
do the salt water cleanse. And that is:

* 2 teaspoons of UNiodized salt (preferrably sea
saly)
* 1 quart of luke warm to hot-ish water.

Drink the salt all at once, if you can. It's best to
get a quart bottle and just keep tanking it back. The
salt water doesn't get absorbed into your body, but
rather just zooms through your intestines picking up
all the bad junk, and comes out your colon. Give
yourself about 2 hours between drinking the salt water
and when you can leave the vicinity of a bathroom.

And it's always better to err on the side of more salt
in the mix than less. I once used too little, and
nothing ever came out. Ick! So if it's not working so
well, add more salt.

The salt cleanse is important to do EVERYDAY. I used
to do it every other day, and it just sucked. You gots
to do it everyday. It helps remove the waste as it is
being shed from the colon wall and the waste that is
being removed by the liver. Otherwise, the waste will
stay in the bowels leading to tiredness and other
problems.

Finally when you are ready to go off the cleanse you
spend one day drinking glasses of orange juice along
with the lemon drink. The next day, for breakfast eat
a clear broth soup and see if you can handle it. If
you can, you are free to eat with you want -- but be
careful reintroducing really rich foods right away.

And my policy with performing on the cleanse is I
allow myself some pulpy orange juice, for the added
sugar. But other than that, really try to stick to
just the lemon drink. The cleanse will go much better
if you only drink that. Believe me.

In case your wondering what the hell this cleanse
actually does, according to the book it:

* Dissolve and eliminates toxins and congestion
that have formed in any part of the body
* Cleanses the kidneys and the digestive system
* Purifies the glands and cells
* Eliminates all unusable waste and hardened
material in the joints and muscles
* Builds a healthy blood stream
* Relieves pressure and irritation in the nerves,
arteries and blood vessels

Did you see a noticable change in your metal and physical states after doing this? It seems like a lot of mumbo jumbo. Ive read a couple other things like this and people seem to really like doing it. I think I would do it for the challenge rather than the benifits.

man....that sounds healthy but disgusting.....hey if it cleanses all of these:

* Dissolve and eliminates toxins and congestion
that have formed in any part of the body
* Cleanses the kidneys and the digestive system
* Purifies the glands and cells
* Eliminates all unusable waste and hardened
material in the joints and muscles
* Builds a healthy blood stream
* Relieves pressure and irritation in the nerves,

I would do it if I was motivated to even excercise or go to the gym or start lifting weights again but I don't think there's any real point if I'm gonna eat unhealthy foods all day long and lie on my ass.

I want to...I have for awhile....but I have to work everyday and be active.

Will I turn into a zombie if I do this?
Will I be overcome with hunger to the point that it consumes me?
Will I pass out?

Can I still drink beer?

colon cleansing sage? i'm glad you're concerned with the healthy flow of our inner workings, but isn't that a bit too personal?

did anyone else immediately think of the nutty professor (the first one with eddie murphy) and the klumps discussion about the subject?

i'll give it a go  Reply with quote

i have been wanting to
get an enema
and
go on a vision quest

i have been told that one type of vision quest would be appropriate for me in my current situation. a friend suggested i travel into the woods for three days without eating and only sleeping when it was unfightable. i am supposed to hike the first one, sit in one place on the second, and hike back on the third. supposedly i will feel like hell on the walk out, feeling hungry, scared, and depressed. the end of the second day will bring clarity and euphoria at times and hallucination and confusion at others. the third i will be highly energized, cleansed and feeling like i never felt before. your awareness of your surroundings and internal workings will be heightened. my other friend who took the advice and actually went through with it told me that he could "breath as if he never sucked down an ounce of dirt or smoke in his life." soon after this experience he decided to move to montana, a totally different world than the suburbs of philadelphia he has known all his life. he now works making rustic furniture and lives in a cabin he built by himself. he goes to work from 9-5, fishes on his hand-made boat from 5 until 10, and snowboards over 100 times a year. all i can say is that i am extremely jealous and feel undescribably weak in comparison.

i would use this opportunity to quit smoking and prove to myself i am not a pussy and actually care enough about my well-being to try something such as this.

It really does work  Reply with quote

Never done it myself, but I know people that have done this, and they've said (and I've seen!) that it really does seem to do SOMETHING good for them... can't say quite what, but there's a change. And the science behind it makes sense too -

by drinking lemon juice you raise the acidity of your blood, which prompts your body to produce alkaline (basic) compounds to counteract the acid. These alkalines are highly reactive, and will bond to just about anything that isn't bolted down in your body, and flush them out. Works for passing drug tests, and it works for cleaning colons. Go figure.

cleansing...  Reply with quote

my question for sage is whether or not this will help me cleanse my body of what i wish to cleanse it of:

i've reached a point where i realize the drugs that i have done are deposited throughout my body. is this cleanse an effective way to remove thc deposits, residual acid, traces of amphetamines, of both pharmaceutical and illegal variety...

this master cleanse says nothing of a supporting regimen of exercise, which other cleansing programs make me believe is required. by the time i leave college, or hopefully sooner, i will put myself through a cleansing program. the best program i have found so far is the purification process suggested by L. Ron Hubbard... not a scientologist but seems that the regulated diet, exercise, sweating in saunas, is a thorough process.

Yeah, it will cleanse that stuff. The more acidic stuff you drink, the better it will work.

so....  Reply with quote

I talked to my old man about this diet. He's been a physician specializing in internal medicine for about ten years and went to college for the field for about eleven. I go to him for a western medicine point of view on things and respect his opinion....due to the fact that he is very educated. I asked him about this diet imparticular and he said "it's bullshit, and unhealthy". This however is not an attempt to discredit it completely, more just an attempt at a further analysis into it. I tend to take what i find to be most probable for success, that is to say, i look at eastern and western medicine and find what seems to have the best track record, whether it be completely eastern or completely western or somewhere inbetween. Ths diet appears to be somewhere in the middle, actually probably leaning on the western side a tad. So i am wondering. What are your sources sage. What have they said, what are your experiences, as well as others experiences with this diet. And i also would like people to take inconsideration that it may very well be unhealthy and useless. My dad laughed at the fact that you need to "cleanse" your colon and what not, saying that however sense it may sound like it makes. It's all theoretical and that needing to cleanse these organs under the presumption that they get all clogged and what not, is just untrue for the most part.
