some of that stuff bothered me too. oh well, what can we do about it? Artistree was whatevers...but we all start somewhere. It really sucked that Sage's time got cut short. obviously, everyone was there for sage. everyone began heading out when the legends got up...including myself. It would've been dope to end the performance with Runaways...really feelin' that track. |

I remember that fag who rushed his way through the side of the stage. When Sage came out to set up the mics he was straight tryin to copp a feel on sage. Then he throws his big jaw girlfriend up on the stage with all the other ugly girls thinkin it was sum kinda music video...
But overall it was a good show...I think Sage had the best set starting off with the "hey bobby" spoken word...Mikah 9 was dope too rockin the old inner city griots shit...
Oh yeah, and what did happen to the specialist... that's one of the songs that i really wanted to hear live... |

the worst part about the show was mikah 9 singing waaaay off key.. i brought some heads who never been exposed to anything like sage, and i couldnt get them all to stay long enough for the performance. cuz when mikah started singing off key.. they were all.. im out.. but i did keep one of my brings long enough, and ab rude got him back into it.. and i quote him "sage was the most amazing thing ive ever seen". It was my first sage show, and id have to say it was phenominal. however, the annoying things were...
- the kid behind me acting all hard, and getting "ticked" off for not having enough room..(seriously, there wasnt much room anywhere.. if you want room, go to a vanilla ice show for christs sakes)
- coming how to an asian house smelling like weed and cigs.
- sages discman beeping (hahahaha)
- no second verse recording of the emps new clothes (which is one of my fav. songs)
the amazing points being
- sages spoken word :D
- the art of facts (to me this was a surprise, theyre show was a lot better than their cd though)
- damn sage you can rap fast
- the girl who sung like a toad
- at least we got to hear it [second verse to emps clothes] once |

thank you, sage. you slaughtered. this was my second sage show--i saw you in san jose a couple months ago. i can't wait till you come aroun cali again. those "whores" got played--you're quite the performer. hope your grandma had a good time! =) that was whack how you got cut off... i bounced after your set. my lady friend enjoyed your performance as well.
did anyone pick up artifact's cd (the two guys that went up second)? i was looking for them after the sage set, but they weren't around. anyone know where i could get their cd? they were pretty ill... |

wow, mikah off key? I've always wanted to see him perform, especially sing, based off all the material I've heard from him.
From the 3 times I've seen Sage, his spoken word pieces distributed silence and looks of amazement to people's faces

i dont like that venue. but i like sage and if he comes to san diego us san diegans will treat him right. siks whun nyne! (if i see those girls on stage again while the spotlight is supposed to be on sage and sage only, i will start protesting). |

i'm from la mesa....moving with my boyfriend to o.b. in january. are you from san diego too? further more, i've heard very little news about the sage show in san diego. last i heard was something about november 1. ask sage he should know. |

the girls on stage with sage. what the hell? girl was lucky enough to pass the mic. and unfortunatly... didnt know the hook to the song. sad, yes. anyway, if sage is reading this... im the nerd that gave you the pamphlet. i enjoyed your show. i loved everything.
one question,in the song 'hopeless' he said, "its hopeless, its hopelessness...". am i the only one that noticed he didnt say the second hopeless??
also- am i the only one that was sad sage decided to not finish the poem he started after some kid yelled ''freestyle sage!'' and other annoying remarks?
i cant blame him.
i still loved the show.
oh and sage if you read the pamphlet, sorry i spelled a few things wrong, including your name on the cover. blame it on the dyslexia. haha |
