FOR EVERY "SEAN JOHN" OR "MECCA" HIP HOP INSPIRED CLOTHING LINE,

THERE WAS "KARL KANI" AND "CROSS COLOURS." IT ALL GOES

OUT OF STYLE AND REBORN INTO SOMETHING ELSE. I'M TEN YEARS OLDER

AND I STILL CAN'T AFFORD TO DRESS "HIP HOP"

You know you typed "fat girl" first, and then changed it to save your argument. I don't think moo-moo's increase sweat.

no what i was saying was she's so fat she was sweating it up in a moo-moo. of course they don't increase sweat, its like wearing an over-sized t-shirt with no pants. i don't see how me calling the girl fat dis-credits the point.

i hope you people aren't serious, this whole thread is a joke.

what the fuck is dressing hiphop anyways?? wear what you wanna wear. and still be hiphop.

whatever that means.

next can we talk about how Slug is more hiphop than Jay Z? i always liked that one the most.

Don't you think that if she was so fat that she had to wear a moo-moo, there might be another reason why she's sitting by herself? Probably because kids keep walking by her, and going "Hey, look at that fat bitch sweating it up in her moo-moo". She has no confidence in herself. It's not the moo-moo. If she was wearing a Sean John outfit, the kids would say "Hey. look at that fat bitch sweating it up in her Sean John outfit". You wouldn't go sit next to that 650 lb. lady,if she was wearing a Lifted Research Group shirt, would you?

i'm not arguing with you. but this style of hip hop which you keep referring to, in my estimation, only applies to men. i want to know how does a woman dress hip hop. you have an aura about you that suggests you are an expert and so i am appealing to your expertise to enlighten me.

and i am asking in all sincerity.

dress up like those girls you see on mtv, thats pretty hiphop.*

I'm all about the thrift stores myself. Better things to spend money on than the clothes i wear.

You cats are fucking stupid.

No ones saying that dressing hip hop means you have to wear fubu...if you don't live or have never been to NY or Chicago or another major american city, you really won't understand. You are talking about hip hop clothing as if what some fucking teenagers in school wear is hip hop. Hip hop clothing DOESN'T MEAN DESIGNER LABELS. You can dress like a bum, you can get all your clothes from Salvation army, and STILL DRESS HIP HOP.

Hip hop has always been about fashion; its not a "narrow view", asshole, its hip hop. my "narrow view" of hip hop as a culture is the RIGHT fucking view. If you don't understand, you never will.

if fashion has nothing to do with hip hop then neither does DJing, beat making, freestyling or rapping

I don't think thats my point...I'm not trying to make people care about what there wear. All I'm saying is that hip hop is a culture, and therefore impacts the appropriate aspects of one's life.
