HIPHOP IS ABOUT STYLE. it has always been about style and it was born out of style. i dont care if you wear l-r-g or fubu or dc's or fuckin dickies, it's about style, not brands - style. its how you rock your gear and how you present youraelf. to say that clothing is not a part of hiphop is ridiculous.

i'm not arguing with you. but this style of hip hop which you keep referring to, in my estimation, only applies to men. i want to know how does a woman dress hip hop. you have an aura about you that suggests you are an expert and so i am appealing to your expertise to enlighten me.

and i am asking in all sincerity.

You can dress stylish without dressing like a slut or a man. I already answered you, dorkasaurus. Don't ask me HOW, but many women seem able to do it....

i guess i am just misunderstood. or perhaps some are too obtuse to understand the question. either way, i wouldn't consider dressing "stylish" as a good answer to my question (afterall, the concept of what is stylish seems pretty subjective). but if that's all the response i am to expect then i shall have to accept it and move on.

and no i don't live in tallahassee, i was joking. torn in tallahassee is the type of silly alliteration you find in advice columns like dear abby.

i hail from los angeles, and i'll be at the orion on the 18th.

p.s. "fasaad" is actually spelled facade

You know you typed "fat girl" first, and then changed it to save your argument. I don't think moo-moo's increase sweat.

amo1ne, you sure are narcissistic.

hip hop is not about your fucking khakis. its music.

i cant believe some of you people on here...

I for one DONT dress hip hop because I think its really sad when i DO see people wearing that shit... "hey this is what music i listen to, i better show it, as if anyone gives a shit".

Its just easier to stereotype someone if they've got "hip hop" clothing brands on. most of those people are pretty dim.

whatever happened to people having a personality of their own... instead of being a walking advertisement for FUBU.

You are ignorant. First off, you're putting words in his mouth...suggesting that FUBU is "hip hop clothing" is like saying ....well, I can't think of a good analogy, but my point is its stupid because FUBU has nothing to do with hip hop.

hip hop is not about your fucking khakis. its music.
WRONG. Hip hop is a culture. Clothing is a part of the culture. it doesn't mean a specific BRAND of clothing, (although if you live either in the suburbs or around a lot of whites, you might get that impression). You're talking about "hip hop clothing" as it relates to a suburban high school, or something....

and dorkasaurus, I don't know what you want me to say...Style changes regularly...
Women don't have to be dressing like sluts to look hip hop..I've already said this....I think "hip hop" dressing has to do with whats usually fashionable in NYC...style in the United States comes from the streets, just like rap.

I saw a buck 65 concert online deal at justconcert.com...and I'm looking at Buck's hat with the ears...I want one of those. anyone know what the hell I'm talking about? and where I would get one?

I'm not really a hat person though. But I could change.

And hoodies are so cool...so very very cool. Hiphop or not, I've been into hoodies since Star Wars with the emperor...

dorkasaurus--I've never seen a girl dress hiphop in real life.

I think everyone should just focus on looking the way they want to present themselves to the world, and not how someone else tells them to look.(is that even the point of this thread?)

really I just wanted to ask about the Buck 65 hat...anyone know?

What do they look like? well wait a minute...I saw this girl at the atmosphere show, come to think of it...she had addidas stripe pants hanging down by her knees and red spandex underwear, and a sports bra, and a hat like sage wears.
Was that a hiphop girl?

If so, I have to say hiphop chics look too slutty for my taste.

I have to say...I'm a big fan of girls who don't dress into a stereotype.

You know what, fuck style.

And fuck your narrow minded puritanical view of what defines Hip Hop as a culture.

No one gives a shit if you want to rock your punk-ass Clarks. Do you. But to point to "My Addidas" as irrefutable evidence that style is a Hip Hop cornerstone is stupid.

Generalize all you want, but I dress like a bum and I would STILL pull your girl.

I can imagine you clowns in your color coordinated gear primping like little bitches.

Fashion whores kill me.
