Yes...Yes...Preach that...I'm gonna use this description...

but you're a christian, right? I stopped calling myself a christian about 4 years ago now, but I remember getting it from the other christians for being 'too liberal.' i hated that.

"I find the fact that you people actually own guns incredibly scary. Why do you feel the need?

-Paws"

We feel the need because we don't like to share, and there are plenty of homeless, hungry, and drug addicted people here that would like a piece of the pie they are being cut off from, and fuck if I'm going to let them get any. They are my material possessions, and I'd rather die than give them up.

That, and it's very macho. American even.

Come on, you don't think putting holes in people is sexy?

I'd say I'm a radical, but that's my ego talking.

I'm just salty.

People can MAKE GUNS. It's better to minimalize the regulation in order to have SOME control over it than it is to outlaw something and push the production into an underground, and therefore COMPLETELY UNREGULATABLE environment.

I buy that as an argument for legal abortion or legalised drugs ... but for guns? Isn't this a case where the less well made they are, the better it is for everyone? I'd take my chances against a crack dealer with a shitty homemade gun.

Whats the deal with this paranoid fictitious "crack dealer" scenario we have in our hollywood infected brains that has us arming ourselves?

The only thing that arming myself does is increases the chances that I die a very violent death, most likely by someone I love or are aquanted to.

"naw, it ain't loaded...see"

That's what my cousin said, before he blew a hole in his stomach with a .45.

It was the socialist party but remember that the movement from left to right actually functions more like a circle, accordingly, the farthest left, i.e., communism, and the farthest right, i.e., fascism, have certain similarities, but they have fundamental differences insofar as they relate the the value of the human as such, though both in practice have a predilection towards subordinating the individual to the good of the state.

Socialism and Facism are oxymorons. Facism isn't very social. Killing everybody who differs from you in any way isn't very social. Also, didn't Hitler kill off the democracy after in power? That's not very social either.

Sequence is right. The left can move back up the circle to become right. Killing everybody with glasses and soft hands isn't very social.

Not only does it happen quite often, but owning a gun HUGELY increases your chances of dying from a gun related death. So, statistically, guns do not make you safer.

but they do make you macho.

Seriously, having a gun around makes you many times more likely to get yourself blasted by yourself or someone you love.

Now that's 'Merican.

but yeah, it also makes you many more times more likely to get blasted by the intruder because you are being noncompliant.

It's so 'Merican though to die in defense of their material possessions.

walkingparadox, you are obviously too busy and important to air things out with such trivial matters such as 30,000 gun related deaths a year in this country.

I understand.

Uh, you can disagree with the facts all you want, but it doesn't change them.
