umm, once again. you've given far too much credit to philosophy.

anarchy/ism/ist isnt a philosophy. its a type of society. which has a definition.

see, there are a million and one types of society.
each type has a SET of things that define it, and make it fit into its proper title. the title of 'anarchy' does NOT fit into what you are trying to describe and talk about. it just doesnt.

This is precisely my point.

Anyone typing on a computer posting on the internet living in Canada or the US has it made. If you don't have it made theres opportunity to change your economic situation.

Look at the Mexicans, you don't hear them crying or complaining, they hikey on over the border and work their asses off! No complaints either, I admire them for that alone.

Anarachy is hardly the subject matter to be kicking around and pondering on for the heavily privileged internet crowd. Especially if you live in Canada which Moore has you thinking is infinitely less dangerous and more compassionate to its citizens than the US.

hmm so we differ here you think things can all be neatly organized into categories. we r still basically talking about the same thing so lets agree on that. although i would say annarchism is a philosophyn annarchy is a society and annachist is a person who supports the previose 2. im no englesh major though.

remember we seem to be talking about the same concept so lets focus more on the concept and less on the term pls.

look the U.S controles most of the world's wealth but little of its population. how is that a good thing. i know im not the ideal advocate for annarchism but i beleave all people are equal and that we hold the potential to let everyone live well not just the privlegded.

thats the whole point. the WHOLE point.

as long as i am using the official definition of anarchy, and you are using some philosopher's definition... we are definitely NOT talking about the same things. very different concepts.

and yes, everything DOES fit into categories. if something new comes out... a new category is made for it.

no because you are talking about libertarian socialism. which is much more of a 'commune' type feel. everyone helping out, no currency, blah blah blah... and also, you still have a leader... each other. you cant act on your own or think for yourself in a libertarian socialist way of life because everything is voted on democracy style.

What historical events brought about these Anarchies?

Well the anarchist revolution in spain was, obviously, a revoluation. The Makhnovists were a group occupying norhtern russia during the russian revolution, they fought both reds and whites. The pirate utopias were created by pirate gangs and the native americans had acted that way since whenever.

nope. it JUST turned childish.

now you're here.
the only guy on here who is too low-bread to hold discussion without insults.

try to stick to the debate.

the topic is anarchy and how people mistake it for other types of society.
