I don't mind the cross pollination. The avenue to appreciating some of the more Atmospherish stuff is through the easily accessible stuff first. Before I listened to Sage, Eyedea or Slug I made my way through Snoop, No Limit, Easy E and Ma$e. Not exactly the most deep lot of artists. I wouldn't have just jumped right to Eyedea. There's something rewarding to listening to Master P and then discovering Wu Tang and Nas. If you drew a backwards line in taste from a lot of these Atmosphere cork sniffers, you'd find all kinds of ignant music and tastes they used to listen to. And guess what? I still throw on "Im Bout It Bout It" and enjoy it. Music doesn't have to be deep to enjoy it either. Lets enjoy the variety and appreciate that we have more to choose from than pop country and boy bands. Tity boi, what?

The video is kinda strange imo. It's a 50/50 split between really great shots and really poor shots.

Yeah, the whole Slug being pulled on a sled shots were pretty crappy and uninspired. It's pretty clear that they weren't lying in the videos YouTube description when they said they just brought a bunch of friends out to play in the snow for a day, seems like they came up with the concept that morning without giving it much thought. As far as the song goes, it's alright, definitely not my favorite, and not anything extremely new or groundbreaking, but Atmosphere singles have never been my favorite anyways (Puppets being the exception), so I'm more curious to hear what the rest of the album sounds like.

All that said, I am personally more excited for Copper Gone and whatever B has cooking than I am for this one. Also, is Cecil Otter ever going to put out a new album? Feels like I've been waiting decades for that and that is one that I really want to hear.

Damnit, of course your first comment in awhile is the one right after I slightly disparaged you (not saying you came back in response to me, just bad timing on my part). Anyways, I guess I had my info mixed up, I think Puppets was the first track I remember hearing from Lemons, and to this day it's one of my favorites, not just from that album, but one of my favorites of all time. I am a long time fan, and like many of your fans, it was you guys that got me back into hip-hop and led me to discover so many other great artists like Sage. Nothing but respect for you guys, even if I don't immediately love this particular song, I'm pretty stoked to hear the rest of the album though. Although, I do think the sled shots of you in the video are a bit awkward, does look like you guys had fun with it though.

Edit: And after looking at the singles list, realized I also really liked "You" since I first heard it. A big part of that may just be the fact that I've worked in restaurants for the past 7 or so years while going through school and what not. I've actually turned quite a few co-workers on to you guys just through that song though, and I still find myself muttering under my breath "Fuck off asshole, jerkoff, dirtball" when walking away from really difficult tables.
