I'm a huge fan of this dude. Every beat he makes is fun and has constant detail and changeups. Love watching folks make beats to see their process, too.

Great post, Adam. I love the seeing the process too, and was really impressed with the multiple facets of J-Zone's production. It's also nice to see a producer that can actually play musical instruments, as I think that helps so much in creating melodies and timing in a beat.

i like the album cover, too..

Thanks! Our good friend Shane Jones has done the covers for both of our releases so far. Incidentally, back when PFA was called the Dead Sober Band, Shane was our first guitarist (I was still on drums). A bit of trivia that's probably interesting to no one, ha.

But yeah - he's probably the single most interesting human I know, & we plan to continue to work with him for the foreseeable future.

I actually had to mess with your embed code a bit to make it work properly.
Soundcloud has made some changes recently which makes embedding a total mess on this forum. Frustrating as fuck.

Just switch to the "old soundcloud" and the embed links still seem to work correctly.

Yeah, I don't see the "old soundcloud" option anymore either.

On the top right (gray bar), click "More". Then, under the "Welcome to Soundcloud" message you'll see a "Switch back to classic soundcloud". CLick that and you're there. If you ever want to go back, click the orange link in the top middle of the screen that says "get the new soundcloud".

I'm a creature of habit and when I like I site, i like it to stay the same way. Kinda like this one. ;) Everytime Facebook changes my blood boils. I have enough things to learn besides relearning how to do what I already learned once. That's also why the new Excel 2013 sucks.

This mix by DJ Moneyshot is incredible and it's a free download for now:

SOLID STEEL AND THE HOUR OF CHAOS

It's over 60 minutes of the samples, music, breaks and soundbites used on Public Enemy's "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back."

25 year anniversary!

My new album is now up for streaming/downloading. All listens and proceeds go to shaming shitty fathers into good ones and also to making me do a little dance.
