No, sir. Just the shows that are lister. I'll be attending Prolyphic's wedding just before I fly out for the Reading show. And then we fly home to B's wedding after Bestival. It's gonna be a crazy September. To put it mildly. Ha

Thank you for pointing that out. I had no idea. I've sent an email asking my name be removed. There's no way I could make that show.

Yo, Sage. Do you know what time/stage you'll be playing at Bestival on the 9th? I'll be there with three friends, representing the Bristol wing of the Strange Famous UK crew!

I am playing the Swampshack, early evening. That's all I've been told. Still waiting on final details.

In other news, a new show has been added to my schedule:

SEP 22 - OLYMPIA, WA - Headlining theKAOS Block Party (more info to come)

Greece has just been added to my schedule! I am playing Athens on Oct 20th for Antifa Live http://www.antifalive.gr/

I've never been to Turkey. However, since I'm playing Athens I'm trying to scoot on over and also play a show in Istanbul. Even if I can't make that happen, I still need to visit. I heard it's magical.
I don't know how to travel anywhere unless I have a show planned. How does that work? You just like...GO? And then you...STAY? Where am I supposed to set up the merch booth? When is sound check? SO MANY QUESTIONS!

Is there any chance that either Sage or B will be doing a spoken word set at Bestival in addition to your performances on the Swamp Shack? I've noticed there are a couple of spoken word stages, one of which Scroobius Pip is performing on. Would be great to see some of your spoken word stuff.
I remember seeing Buck do spoken word sets at a little festival in Oxfordshire called Truck, about five or six years back. Was really great. I left convinced he was trying to hypnotise me with those dulcet tones of his, and I've yet to see concrete evidence that he wasn't....

Awesome! My friends and I are really looking forward to this. Leaving Bristol at 2am on Thursday, driving to Southampton, getting the ferry to the Isle of Wight, then driving to the festival site, arriving about 7am.
Can't quite believe Sage and B are playing a UK festival. I've been going to festivals in this country for 14 years, and never thought I'd see the day when you two were on the bill.

Just got back to my desk after Bestival, so thought I'd post a bit of a roundup for those who couldn't make it or are interested.

B Dolan didn't make his spoken word set on Saturday at the ampitheatre - a beautiful little stage set up in a clearing in the woods up on a slope high above the festival site. Scroobius Pip did a spoken word version of Let Em Come and compared a few really good speakers. It was a shame B didn't make it - there was no announcement about why, but these things happen at festivals.

Sunday night was the final night of the festival, and Sage and B Dolan were due to play the Swamp Shack, a tent outside the main arena, near the campsites, after an evening that had included Bat For Lashes, Sigur Ros, Spiritualised and Stevie Wonder. Sage was first on, eventually coming on at 00.15. The tent was pretty full and rowdy by this stage, we'd all had quite a bit to drink during the day, and straight from the off Sage seemed really pumped up for his set, and the crowd responded well. Loads of people were smoking inside the tent, and the air was thick with it. I know how you guys feel about smoking in venues and the effect it has on your vocal chords, so thanks for sticking with it. I told a couple of guys to put theirs out, but it was a losing battle!

I can't remember the exact setlist, but as he'd said previously, Sage did a lot of stuff from Personal Journals early in the set, opening with Crackpipes and throwing in Broken Wings, Climb Trees and Inherited Scars. We were also treated to Escape Artist, Sea Lion, Jah Didn't Kill Johnny, Agony, Slow Down Ghandi, Makeshift Patriot, if my tired sun-beaten memory serves House Of Bees, with B Dolan, and Damage before Sage finished with The Best Of Times, quite apt for the ending to a truly memorable festival.

B Dolan came straight on and did Still Here, King Bee, Which Side Are You On, 2BAD and Film The Police from House of Bees Vol2, nearly smashed the roof off the tent with Marvin, and included Earthmovers, Economy Of Words (striking a chord by dedicating it to everyone who's skint), Kitchen Sink, his Justin Timberlake spoken word piece, the MIA/50 ways mash up, and finally calling up What Cheer for an epic take on Border Crossing.

The rest of the Church Of Love And Ruin was just indescribably bizarre and amazing, and it kept the tent full and rowdy right til the end, which must have been not far short of 4am. After four days' drinking and walking around in the hot sun, I was a broken man by this stage, and the volume and feedback in the tent left my ears ringing for two days, but it was well worth it.

I hope you guys got a chance to look around the Bestival site and enjoyed it. It's a really beautiful setting and the crowd had really got into the spirit of the fancy dress Wildlife theme. Having done a UK festival together, would you now consider playing at the big daddy of the European festival circuit - Glastonbury? That really would be special. I've been going to UK festivals every summer for about 15 years now and have seen most of the biggest and best bands in the world, but never thought I'd see Strange Famous acts at one. This really topped it all for me. Thanks for coming.

My fans in Turkey are out...of...their...minds. And they are also zombies. Absolutely insane. Thank you!
I have many great stories to tell but they will have to wait for a later time. For now, I want to say that this is my second day in Istanbul and I have yet to see a beard that is more epic than mine. My beard is proud. It is a very proud beard. #EpicProudBeard.
