Just played Forbidden Island last weekend.

Pretty cool game. You don't compete with your friends in this one, you're co-operating with them. I've only played this twice, so I don't know if this has a long-lasting charm or not.

I sometimes play Trivial Pursuit or Ticket to Ride with my friends but Scrabble is top dog.

What's sad is that no one (or at least no one I know) seems to play Trivial Pursuit anymore. I'm fairly certain this is a symptom of the society-wide dumbing down process and the anti-intellectualism in this country. It's the difference between Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Most people just don't know things outside of pop culture anymore.

Love Trivial Pursuit. My pallies and I play the mobile version to kill time on trips sometimes. As a kid my parents had teh maroon box baby-boomers edition. We learned so much pop culture and history from the 50s, but it was damn near impossible until we'd been playing it for years. Team Pursuit is where it's at, just grab a slightly harder edition than you're used to.

Fuck those DVD/television show games. I want my games analog. Unless it's Omega Virus or Mall Madness, of course.
