Jeff, Who Lives At Home is one of the best movies I've seen in years.
Just when I was like okay no more Jason Segel I can't stand it... the Duplass Brothers save the day. |

I think I'll check out Prometheus, but onyl after the reviews come in just to be safe. Either way, I love the creep and jarring music in the trailer. It really creates a nice sense of panic and tension. |

Mr. Dolan bought me that DVD for my birthday. It's a really interesting and weird film. I recommend watching it by yourself at 3 AM. |

I dunno. It worked for me. I think it sort of sucked narratively. But the set pieces and the visuals were incredible. and the world it creates is really interesting, if not fully explored. |

I think Sage Francis and Joss Whedon's work is remarkably similar.

Don't you think it's kind of rude to insult a guy on his own forum? |

If comparing someone to someone who made a movie that made a billion dollars is insulting then no.
What about it? |

Gah. I lost a pretty extensive reply. Here's the cliff notes:
(Of course this is just the geek in me having fun)
I think they both rely heavily on their voices (in Sage's case, literally) and the words they use. And both will make a lot of sacrifices for their message.
And both are real pioneers for the DIY attitude in their respective fields.
I also think they deal with a lot of similar themes but that's a little more subjective on my part.
It's fun to find similarities between artists you enjoy who are otherwise completely unrelated. I got into both these guys at almost exactly the same time. |
