What do you mean? Jesse's comment was pretty straight forward and correct.. Poopsnack's post could seem like he wasn't familiar with (some?) of those beats so..? |

Thank you! I think my resistance to using internet smiling faces sometimes really makes me seem like I'm trying to be mean when I'm not. Or don't think I am!
All I really meant was "yeah we all love beats by the Beastie Boys!" but I guess it could also be read as "how do you not know those beats are by the Beastie Boys," so... that's a shame.

Jesus. I knew every single beat. I have a tall stack of their music. I would have rather heard MCA rapping his parts. that's all. |

So you posting that tribute wasn't a lame attempt at promoing your friends?

oh what? I think I misunderstood everything everyone said.
this is not promo, it was recorded art my friend's studio by someone far more popular than I am. I am not sure how I feel about it but my instinct is nor positive.
*I* kind of have the cynical feeling this is a slick move, but I wanted to see what other people think who don't know the guy at all. |

Personally, I disliked hearing him rap MCA's verses word for word. Once I realized it was more of a karaoke tribute I had to stop listening. |

Ah. Ok. I think what El-P did on Letterman is the only tribute anyone needs to do. |
