I've heard good things, both from 'proper' reviews and normal people... For something I didn't care about, I'm actually quite excited to see it now.
I know I used to watch the show as a kid, but tbh I can't remember a damn thing about it apart from the theme music. |

Yeah, I definitely didn't have any plans to see it when the trailers first came out, but I keep hearing decent things from comedians I trust. They said some good things about it on the Doug Loves Movies podcast the other week, and it seemed like it was an actual endorsement as opposed to just "my friends are in the movie so go watch it". I don't know if I will pay to see it in theaters, but I will definitely check it out by the time it gets to Redbox or whatever. |

I just saw Witness for the Prosecution and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and they are both fantastic. Also rewatched Wizard of Oz, which is always fun. |

I watched 21 Jump Street last night. It started a little slow, but once the ball was rolling I really enjoyed it. Some very funny moments, and I actually found myself liking Channing Tatum. He seems like a good dude. I recommend checking it out for some laughs. |

Just saw Hunger Games (begrudgingly) last night. Gotta say it wasn't what I was expecting and thoroughly enjoyable. Not "kiddish" or absorbed in teen romance stuff like I anticipated. Cool sci fi concept and great acting. Great cinematography. Dope ass flick. |

I haven't read or seen or read The Hunger Games, but I did get a kick out of the Huff Post article lamenting all the racist kids on Twitter getting mad that one or two of the characters were black. It's pretty sad, actually. Even in the book, the race of the characters is apparently not revealed, but the ones in question are described as "dark-skinned." So many kids were just not having it. I think there is even a Tumblr dedicated to these racist Hunger Games fans and their tweets. |
