I don't buy that Deb wants to fuck Dexter. On the whole I thought this was one of the worst seasons so far. I swear to god if I hear about someone's Dark Passenger again I'm going to hurl.
The main serial killer foe/dude, wasn't even that interesting or clever. I really didn't give a fuck about him.

4 things:
1) He must pay his nanny a lot for how much he's never home.
2) He should be sleeping w/ that nanny. I have to see it.
3) Deb's nasty and I hope they don't have any incest next season.
4) Tom Hanks' kid doesn't make a very scary or believable serial killer. |

I've avoided this thread for so long because of spoilers, but now it's time to let it out a bit.
This was my favorite show for quite some time and started to teeter off at the end of season 3. Seasons 1&2 were so great. Season 3 was good, season 4 wasn't all that and started taking some of the worst turns for the worse. Season 5 basically shitted on everything this show was and could have been.
Fuck them for turning Dexter into a boring soap opera that creeps along until their lame ass ending with cliche ass debra always blubbering and being angry about shit no one fucking cares about. Not to mention Dexter is an inefficient and careless killing machine now. They really have jumped the shark with this show.
So many asses.

Also I would like just one season of dexter where the drama isn't made out of Dexter's own incompetence. Put him up at the top of his game, and have THAT not be good enough. But every season is the same. There's always a few episodes where the whole thing is "uh oh dexter messed up this time".
Also I thought this whole season was building towards some sort of epiphany for Dexter, but in the end it was just a boring monologue that really changed the character very little.
Nothing really ever changes on the show. The writing is pretty hacky. I used to like Dexter, now it annoys me.
It's no EVERY SHOW on HBO. |

Its getting crazy. From season 1 its unrecognizable. Dexter is getting sloppy. The writers have already built the ramp to clear the shark, not sure if Dex will make it though.
The only worse ending I've seen is in season 5 when Deborah rolls out to a remote cabin miles outside Miami on a lead then discovers the 2 killers and draws her weapon then just bounces after talking to them through a curtain.

just finished season 6.
what a weird show now
it did have some cool moments but no where near the intensity of seasons 1&2
i wasnt expecting it , was hoping though
the deb falling for dex at the end is too weird
we all knew deb was gonna catch him but really? thats how they did it?
and finally what the fuck is up with that hacker/game designer
i'll watch the next season just because, but yeah its done |

They had a tough time getting Micheal C Hall signed on for 2 more seasons, so I bet thats when the show ends. Unless this upcoming season is just terrible. Either way for a show like this 6 seasons is aleady an accomplisment.
I'm not sure what kind of ratings season 6 got, but I do know season 5 got the highest ratings of them all and it was poop. The show is starting to be geared towards the masses and it makes the quality suffer. So many people on my facebook still eat it up. |

I cant wait for another 3-4 years at least and then re-watch six feet under. Through four seasons of dexter I thought Dexter may have been the better show, but not any more. Six Feet Under is just gold |

I am really looking forward to season 7, which I'm fairly sure will be the last. I can't imagine them riding this horse for any longer than that. I'm gripped about how things are going to play out between Deb and Dexter. My guess is that either 1) Deb turns a blind eye because revealing what she knows will ruin her career and cripple the police department of 2) Dexter will go on the lam, Deb will hunt him down, and there will be this really intense and probably pseudo-incestuous showdown between brother and sister in which sister releases brother at long last from the clutches of his Dark Passenger. Harrison goes to live with Deb, and in the last scene he's in a sandbox with some other kids, brandishing a pair of scissors behind his back. |
