Here are some sunset pictures I took recently. The quality it not superb cause they were taken with my iPhone. No filters or Photoshop needed.

I just picked up a Canon 40D with a 50mm 1.8f lens. I'm headed to San Fran next weekend. I'll try and post up some pics. I'm a photo noob though, so they may not be the greatest. |

So I was just mailed a framed photo of my Great Granddad, which was awesome. I have not sat down to draw in like 10 years, but I am attempting to capture his badassness...
Drawing faces is not my thing... or just drawing in general really, haha. I kinda got his stance though, after like 4 hours of erasing over and over lol.
EDIT: there is still much more work to be done... the "folds on the shirt are annoying as all hell. |

So this is what it ended up as. I suck at faces, so I just freestyled it...
I think I will be drawing a lot more in the near future. It's very "life affirming" if you catch my drift. Better than wasting time on Skyrim anyways. haha. |

if you do exactly what you did just make the face part bigger/ cover more area , it would be pretty damn close, the face is small so it makes it look like a overgrown kid/ baby face
not bad for gettin back into it, faces are really hard if you mess up one little detail it makes it look like someone entirely different |

yeah. My reference pic was my great granddad leaning back so there was all kinds of foreshortening going on. I'm still pretty happy with how the end result came out considering. |

Whatever the technique is on that first one Futurist, I dig it. The pinkish shading reminds me of watercolors, but I suspect you're doing something a bit different. Do tell. |
