After that scene at the pool with the gun and plant, neither Skyler nor Jesse could get Walt on the phone. He was MIA for a while until Jesse went to his house and threatened to kill him. |

Throught this we see a timid chemistry professor both through circumstance and choice essentially become a bad guy in every way. So, I don't think the last season is just going to let him bow out and live a humble existence again. They are going to round out the point in extreme fashion. You just know that Walt is going to die in the end.
plus Jesse is the opposite of this. he's breaking good. you see Walt, meek chemistry teacher, corrupted to the point of being a manipulative sociopath, while Jesse, shitheel methdealer, is the one who actually gives a damn about the people around him. "you brought a bomb into a hospital?"
in season 5, Jesse is going to be absolved somehow, and Walt is either going to die from something that isn't cancer, or be arrested. |

I haven't been able to catch season 2 of The Walking Dead. Frankly, I'm not that interested in watching it live, so I'll check it out once it makes its way to Netflix. See my previous posts on the show if you want my opinion (bad zombie lore, decent graphic novel adaptation, mediocre to awful acting). |

I'm watching The Colony on Netflix right now. What's weird to me about this show is that everything is so contrived and forced. These people are taking this whole thing way to seriously, and I don't know how they're pretending to themselves that this is a real apocalypse. They're not acting. But they are also getting outside help from advisers and the like so that they don't accidentally kill themselves greater wood gas or some shit. They also have experts present certain scenarios off camera, and then they enact these things. We need to get some real reality television happening with the concept behind this show. Put them in a ghost town out in the desert or in the Canadian woods sprinkled with modern tools and other things to simulate an apocalypse. Other than that, they have to survive for 6 months without any assistance, although there should be certain precautions taken just in case of emergencies or people lose their minds.
Also, this Mike guy is killing me. He's rattling off about how people with higher education aren't better than him. This is related to a conflict of ideas about establishing a reliable power supply. Dude, nobody is throwing their PhD in your face simply because they're an engineer. Nobody cares if you dropped out of high school? You know your way around mechanic parts like nobody's business so be confident about that. Work together.
The guy that's been to prison (his name escapes me) is really annoying. First off, I don't like his voice. I know he can't help it, but could stop being such a loudmouth full of bravado. And I'm pretty sure Vlad has killed somebody before. I don't know for sure, but I think it's safe to assume he's originally from Eastern Europe. He's my favorite guy on the show and I enjoy his way of doing things. Very practical, very Soviet. |

Has anyone been watching Boss with Kelsey Grammar?
I think it's pretty good so far. The political intrigue reminds me a little bit of The Wire. |

Person Of Interest. It's not perfect but has tons of potential. I'm a sucker for morally ambiguous stories on some Batman shit.
And I am not a Lost fan.

I've been keeping a Nielson book for the last few days. I don't know if it's because I worked in the media for 10 years and know how important ratings are, but I've felt compelled to keep a really accurate book. It kind of interesting to log everything you watch on TV and when you watch it and who is in the room at the time. It's made me realize--even moreso than before--that I really don't watch much TV, and I watch almost zero live TV, save for some sports. Also, I never knew that Nielson actually paid people to keep diaries. For $30 a week I wish I could do it year round. |

It's not like you have much to catch up on. This show has been moving at a snail's pace in terms of character development and what not.
Also, can we please get rid of the damn children? I'm soooo tired of the search for Sophia. |
