Sorry about the band, man. You're a damn good drummer though, so I'm sure something will come by your way really soon.
I haven't heard it yet, but Wolves in the Throne Room just released a new record today called Celestial Lineage. You doomheads should check it out. |

Yo yo yo. Doing my duty to keep you good folks abreast of the latest metal developments. Russian Circles' new album Empros just came out today. They've been towing the shoegaze-metal line for a while now, so this isn't the straight up brutal-type metal that dominates the scene. Anyway, here's a track for your aural pleasure:

i really like the new anthrax, it sounds like 90's anthrax to me and that's a good thing, all except their cover of the refused-new noise, damn it's god awful. |

fully agree on mastodon, the old stuff kills it! new album isn't worth listening to unfortunately.
high on fire's "blessed black wings" may be the best metal album ever! |

Good news for me! Over the last five months since my band Ghosts of the Great Lakes broke up I've been playing in a new group. We've been writing a lot of new material and we hope to start recording within the next couple months. Even though we don't have a name for ourselves or our songs we already have a show booked in February. I can't wait to start playing live again it's been forever. My soul is running low. We should probably figure out a name...
Here's a song from Glassjaw called "Miracles In Inches." I think it really represents my new bands style and direction. I love that the drummer is left handed playing a right handing kit. Good lord Glassjaw is the shit...
GlassJaw - Miracles In Inches - Live @ Reading Festival August 27th 2011 **DONT MIND THE FIRST COUPLE SECONDS OF TEXT IN THIS VIDEO**
Two months before Glassjaw played the Reading festival they played a festival in northern Michigan and my previous band Ghosts of the Great Lakes opened up for them. They're unbelievable live. Brother Ali headlined Saturday night and threw the fuck down. It was a great weekend...
Good times - I hope you enjoy |
