Watched Bad Lieutenant last night. I wish Nicolas Cage would stop fucking around with horrible roles/films, and do shit like this all the time. |

I watched Machete last night and loved it. Pure exploitation cinema replete with some pretty incredible gore, chicks all jaybird, and ridiculous plot points. And Danny Trejo? Amazing. He is hands down my favorite character actor, and a pretty inspiring success story to boot. Great to see him in a leading role. It was interesting to see some reprisals of Robert Rodriguez's other works, notably Desperado, as well. A bit long for the genre, and I think they should have had a bit more action, but that's a quibble. Segal. |

Strange nobody has mentioned "Barney's Version". Great movie, about the life of a grumpy man and the women he married and the love of his life. Paul Giamatti is great, but he usually is.
Also enjoyed Crazy Heart. Jeff Bridges was good, but Colin Farrell surprised me.
Ironclad was fun too watch, some nice medievil fighting there, nothing too great.
Was kind of dissapointed with Exit Through the Gift Shop. Was kind of annoyed at the last half hour. Liked the art, but as a whole, not too fond of it.
And I second the Ryan Gossling praise. Lars and the Real Girl is so sweet. Have to watch Blue Valentine, but also check out Half Nelson. Great film there, great acting.
And for the people who liked Super. I thought it was a fun movie, but I liked Defendor a bit better. It stars Woody Harrelson and is less absurd and more dramatic. Kind of heartwarming. |

The most recent movie I watched was The American Cowslip.
It's on Netflix Instant Queue. Watch it tonight. Haha.
It's a dark comedy about a heroin junkie. Watch now. |

Kind of in the vein of Kick Ass? I thought this was a kid type movie. Adults can dig it? |
