Just saw Another Earth the other night. My wife loved it; I thought it was just a good movie, which was a let down after what I expected from seeing the movie posters.
Saw Tree of Life about a month ago. Fucking amazing, but a bit obtuse, and what the fuck was the floating mask at the end all about? Anyway, it's worth sitting through a bit of artificially deep non-sequitor to see a 15-minute sequence of the formation of the Universe, Milky Way, and Horse Head Nebula set to beautiful instrumental orchestral music. |

I think I know what you are getting at, but not exactly sure what you mean. Was there a mention of "coon" hunting in one of the films? I know Hobo with a Shotgun made references to bears, but I don't recall anything about raccoon hunting. Can you be more specific? |

In True Grit they mention 'coon hunting. The one eyed guy is like "We won't be able to stop at boardinghouses," and she is like "I've been camping before when we went Coon hunting! It will be like a coon hunt!" and the old guy looks exasperated.
True Grit is a great fucking movie. I saw all the nominees for best picture last year, and I would've voted for True Grit personally. |

Ah, thanks. In my head I was trying to think of all of the offensive stuff said and done in Hobo with a Shotgun. |

Racoons use to be a big problem to the agriculture industry back in the day. |

I was pretty disappointed by true grit. I watched it twice even, because I felt like the first time I may have just been tired or something. I like me a good western, but true grit fell flat in a lot of ways. |
