My favorite thing about most Sole albums, is that I tend to like them more and more after each listen. I've streamed it a couple times now and it seems to fit the mold of my other favorite Sole albums. Not sure it's up there with bottle of humans or Selling Live Water, but it has a chance.

My favorite song is probably "We Will Not be Moved". Who's the dude that spits second after Sole?

Is the album available for digital download? I'm going on a road trip tomorrow and I'd like to cop it before I leave...

I'm really excited to hear this. I loved the s/t Skyrider album and had mixed feelings about Plastique on the musical tip, but I'm still excited to hear where this one is at. Once I hear it I'll lay it down.

This has so far exceeded the expectations I had, which I felt were already pretty high. I've had a chance to give it a full listen through and while I can't put my finger on a favorite track at the moment, the album flows incredibly well creating a really solid listening experience.

The last two songs 'Formal Designation' and 'Immortality' cap off a terrific effort all around, just a great conclusion to a beast of an album.

waiting for my CD copy to give it a full listen start to finish, but I'm loving it so far. "Possimism" is a banger. Good live show song too..cough..Ohio. Ill write again once I get the CD.

im happy to hear yall like it. fuck we worked so hard on this record... its maybe the first record that i set out to do something and pulled it off... i feel like this whole mainstream aesthetic is so wide open for so much experimentation im really psyched on it... here are our current dates... looks like we will hit columbus.

Is there a date for the Columbus show? Looks like the list is just West coast.

I give it a 6.1. The joint with lil B is cool, but i find your obvious whiteness and tendency to share your thoughts about things a little bit offensive.

Nah. I like it quite a bit. My favorites are "we will not be moved". That violin part is greatness. and "home aint shit" cause of the vocals and the meltdown beat with g-funk synths. Overall the mix is much better than the other SSRB albums. Theres some spots where the bass drum kinda gets lost. "Bad Captain gnarly" in particular. Not sure if thats a stylistic choice or just me listening through less than ideal speakers but thats really my only complaint. I cant say it beats out Selling Live Water or even Live from Rome (which I think has some of your best lyrics and really displays your sense of humour) but for switching up your style so much, I think you guys definately succeeded

I just typed this in the best albums of 2011 so far thread:

"This is everything we think we hate about rap in 2011 done by a white intellectual who not only manages the uncomfortable feat of making us like it by bringing it to our ivory tower (appropriation? I'm not ready to levy the charge, or really interested in it; I think the ownership of this style is genuine.), but it should serve to show us why we're being uptight, intolerant, poorly-aging assholes to despise it so much in the rest of rap.

This record isn't just good, it's important."

I also wrote a bunch on the FB thread. I'm still kind of digesting it. I love Bad Captain gnarly.

DIY or DIE, babehhh.

One of the best Sole songs eva. I play this shit whenever editing my Steve Buscemi-people-to-snipe-before-I-die list of every promoter, show organizer, or band that ever fucked me or PFA out on tour.

Guns up, Big Sole. It's all Water World now...

Any East Coast dates in the works? Last time Sole & Skyrider came through New England, the Boston show was a work night for me. I'd love to catch this set, though.
