NewsCorp is being sued by its shareholders for not taking action over the phone hacking early enough, and because of Murdoch's "rampant nepotism":
http://tgr.ph/ndSfww

And in other news:

Sky TV (Fox News in the UK) calls the culture secretary "Mr. Cunt."
The item is about the culture secretary referring Murdoch's latest media machinations to a parliamentary committee.

The government has also raised the terror threat level to 'substantial'. Not quite the useful distraction it used to be.

Oops. The giddy cross-eyed fugue I've gone into over this may be leading to basic comprehension errors.
Hopefully the Sun on Sunday will consider me for a sub-editor position.

I must be reading this wrong too, because it looks like News Corp has a tax rate of -46.1% (yes a minus sign) in the U.S.

Having earned $10.4 billion in profits, News Corp. would have been expected to pay $3.6 billion at the 35 percent corporate tax rate. Instead, it actually collected $4.8 billion in income tax refunds, all or nearly all from the U.S. government.
