Godcast - SECRETS REVEALED  Reply with quote

The "Strange Famous GODCAST" is a divine, 50-minute mix of songs, soundbites and demos that I've collected over the past 10 years. This isn't a "hiphop" mix per se; it's more of an eclectic mix of genres and recordings from various eras of music, film and online gems. As the title of this mix suggests, the GODCAST has a religious theme throughout, but the main objective of this podcast is to share some great-yet-obscure tunes that Uncle Sage cherry picked out of his personal playlist for your listening pleasure.

The tracklist for the Godcast is now available at http://tinyurl.com/GodcastSecretsRevealed

The easiest way to do this would be crowdsource by tagging the soundcloud... though that wouldn't really get any individual the cash...

The easiest way would be to play it for Watson.

We need a better Shazam. We can rebuild it; we have the technology.

You will get that on the next "Sick" album.

Someone on the SFR facebook claims to have 50% of this godcast figured out already. Innnneresting. Almost makes me wish I only gave people 1 week to figure out the track list. haha

So, I think I have at least half of the songs/clips figured out thus far. Here are my current figures:

-1 out of 2 audio clips featuring old school hip-hop artists (possibly 2!).
-8 out of 11 commercially released songs.
-3 out of 5 demo songs.
-1 out of 1 movie audio clip.
-1 out of 3 spoken word clips (possibly 2!).

The most difficult clips for me to identify have been the ones from semi-popular internet videos or audio out-takes...but there's still digging to be done.

Feel free to share your progress. Happy hunting and good luck to you SFR forum folks! Are you ready for the throw down?!

Shazaam picked up my first 2-3 random spots I moved the cursor to. Just saying, be careful with cheaters.

I love this, it made a rough day great last week when i bumped it on the way home. I have a few names but I honestly won't be able to nail this for the $500 godboy bonus. But goddamn, there are some gems on here. And one of my all time favourite funk/soul jams too.
