Oh man, Robot Jox was so good. I remember watching it one night at a sleepover. Us young lads were thrilled at the prospect of dudes duking it out with robots. It was like an adult version of Transformers.

Has anyone seen Arena? It's on Netflix, and appears to be some kind of gladiator combat thing...in space...with aliens. It has the potential to either be really awesome or ultra dated and lame.

It's pretty terrible, right? Maybe I'll give it a go. I've been eyeballing this Sean Connery Zardoz film for a while, though it's 1974 release date disqualifies it from discussion.

hey i just watched hunter prey based off this reccommendation.... shit was cool i thought... definitely agree, the plot shapes up... better than stargate universe but by no means battlestar galactaca good. definitely worth a lazy watch.

hell yeah , wish there were more recent movies like that

Arena is actually better than i thought but its by no means "good" , if you have a good sense of humor and can take the cheese factor its worth a watch i guess, i like it mainly for the creatures and such

Hangar 18 or No Escape is next up for the Sunday Sci-Fi Marathon
