Man... My older brother got locked up yesterday on some bullshit so I've been trying to help him and his wife handle the situation... It's real real shitty...

Long story short, this album couldn't have come at a better time for me. Slug, Ant, Erick and Nate, Thank you... This album is a masterpiece and everyday it's meaning has more of an impact on me.

The piano intro to "My Notes" fits my vibe perfectly right now and the imagery of "If You Can Save Me Now" is unbelievable... The bass line in "If You Can Save Me Now" is a perfect example of how less is more. You don't have to be playing a ton of notes to get your point across musically. The empty space / silence is just as important as the notes they do play. It's smooth as hell...

I love the progression of Atmosphere from Overcast to The Family Sign. They're apart of a very small group of artists who can consistently put out great materiel over a long span of time regardless of genres. There's not that many artists who can do that.

"It's been a beautiful summer... It reminds me of when I was younger... I used to count down to sound of thunder... Smell fresh cut grass mixed with the burnt rubber."

There's this:

"Imagine Anthony tweetin" haha

Really nice interview. Thanks for posting it.
Sluggo is that a little skunk boy thing going on with the hair? Just kidding. Ya know we love you.
"The Family Sign"... The brilliance shines through with each additional listen.
Well done.

I'm going, but you knew that. You silly.

Hope we see some folks there. Sean, I'll be the overweight balding redheaded guy who's constantly off beat and doesn't know any lyrics. If you spot me give me a holler. Or maybe throw me out. Your call.

good lord do i love this album. still digging in to it, but loving it. and doing so more and more

interesting comment on the wolf song by slug. makes me wonder. works on so many levels

each album is better than the last. crazy. more 'growed up' and simplified/more complex. love the direction and execution

thank you SOOO much for your drive and true artist-ry atomos!

im curious about the song lyrics' order being different in the booklet than it is on the album. is it for the order of pics on obverses? i would think this would have been an obvious obstacle and easy fix. maybe the lyrics fit another way than they appear on album? or just to fuck with people like me?

there's no way to not sound cryptic without giving away the punchline, but
there is a handful of things we did on this record to fuck with people we love.
in a good way.

hopefully you enjoy as some of it unravels.

thanks for the kind words everybody.

I can't believe people have fronted on Bad Bad Daddy.
That shit is fun, funny and clever. I related to that song even before I knew how much I actually relate to that song.

Well, as a 19 year old college student, I can't say I really relate lol. Not that I dislike the song, but there are others which I'd prefer to listen to.

Oh and I don't know if this was done on purpose or not, but the beat to Millenium Dodo reminds me a bit of How I Won the War.

well i glad you like funking with e sluggo. because i would do the exact same thing, given the forum

n bad bad daddy cracks me up! love that track. i can see it so vividly. but what i picture is slug sitting at the bar, watching in amazement at the rhmyesayers crew, shaking his head like 'that was me!'. and the way i picture it is like the scene in gremlins where the gremlins take over the bar, swinging from chandeliers and doing stands on the taps. shooting 'asshole' players like doc holiday in tombstone. n laughing the whole time

this album blows me the fuck away. and it also/still blows me away the amount of output these fellows have. 7 official albums, and whothefuckknows how many other releases. 'to all my friends...' was insane...and not even an 'album'. wow. work ethic, giving to fans, pushing limits, AND NOT RUNNING OUT OF SHIT TO SAY/PLAY

slug is everymans rapper. and and and the musicians are musicians' musicians

again...THANK YOU!!!!!!!

please make tracks til you cant hit your notes

btdubbbs, the physical album is brilliant. great idea to get people to not just burn their friend's copy. and its like a family pic thingie, that goes along with the title

ok, i'll stop. for now. unlike atmos
