B, I'll see you at vokah's show for sure, he killed it last year. His dancers were on one. Don't know about the BBQ tho, might be at the thrasher party, trying to catch all pigs must die and killer mike during the day. I'm pumped, trying to catch a grip of shows this year.

Still waiting to see if too short is gonna perform

Got a location for that Blowed shit? The other show you posted with the flyer is too far for me to hit.

hell yeah man, i can't wait for All Pigs Must Die.

Too Short WAS on the Thrasher bill but i don't see him anymore. He was supposed to be on right after Odd Future

yeah I saw that, was hoping they might make it happen, they've had short perform at skater of the year before so maybe but it's not looking good right now. I just saw odd future so I'm not concerned with dealing with the lines for that. Doesn't help that their live show is very amateur as well.

good to know. I assumed as much. Don't care for any of them except Tyler and the jury is still out on him for me. That "Bastard" album had it's moments but is pretty weak.. EXCEPT that it was done by a 17 year old. I normally don't like the whole shock factor but at least it's something different than we've seen recently and i give him props for writing his own beats, raps and directing especially because of his age. Didn't care much for that album but interested to see what his new one will bring after watching the Yonker's video. The combination of the music, lyrics, delivery and video make this a huge winner for me. Curious to see what happens.....

i digress... might catch them at MXTX Day Party since that'll be a big one:

I like odd future and they are super hype live, tons of stage diving. BUT and this is big for me, they still rap over their own vocals, can't hold mics, syd can't dj but she plays dope stuff, just no mixing and tons of sound issues. Basically all the flaws ruined it until tyler and hodgy actually started performing songs they had instrumentals for. Tyler and mellowhype are the best members out of the whole crew for me. Kind of wish someone would give them some rehearsal lessons on how to sound fairly decent while having a crazy stage show. At the last low end theory they broke syd's laptop moshing around on stage.

big freedia is who I really want to see at that mwtx party. Still waiting to see who fader lines up, that's my fallback spot anytime I can't find something I want to see.

Definitely do not pay $700 for any reason. I have never not been able to get into a show I wanted to see at Southby. Plus, if you've never been, know that you're not going to end up doing everything you plan to do. There's a small special breed of people that plan out their SXSW week and actually stick to it. But for the most part there is so much going on and it's so exhausting that your plans end up changing so paying to see a bunch of shows in advance is definitely a waste of money.

Definitely wear comfortable shoes, don't drink too much during the day and show up EARLY at any show you really want to see.

Played one of my favorite gigs in Austin last night. I should've had that shit professionally filmed. Haven't seen anyone else play yet but I'm about to. Heading to the Metropolis very soon.

Sage killz. That was one of my fave Sage sets in a long time!

We had a great time at our showcase, met Atraeyu (i am prolly fucking up that spelling), finally met Jesse face to face and we made out naked and stuff. We were def the least known cats on our showcase (we rocked with Backburner and our Nerdy brethren), but we had cats hopping by the end of our set, thanks in part to our first time performing some of the collabos on our album live with Dual Core and Mega Ran. This vid doesn't have audio, but the vid seems to capture the moment pretty well I think.

Saturday we played the pool party backing up Shane Hall and mixing up a little of our stuff into his set. We got Dolan on stage with us with HW and Dual Core with a weird posse cut that was a ton of fucking fun. The best posse cut nobody never heard. Unfortunately we had to leave directly after performing at that, then we blew a fucking tire that night (which also happened to us on the way down). Hopefully we get invited back next year. Playing an official showcase at SXSW is like dancing on the deck of a sinking, burning pirate ship, and I mean that in the most awesome possible way.

10:30 p.m. - 11:15 p.m. - Pharoahe Monch (Queens, NY)

Isn't the later time slot more coveted? I just can't imagine Asher Roth maintaining the same level of energy after a Pharoache Monch performance.

What a head trip. Pharao opening for the guy who unabashedly rips off the guy who admittedly rips off Pharao.

Here's a fun review from our Kalyn of Wheelchair Sports Camp

i woke up at this morning thinking about Bro v. Wade. Not since KRS played Harper's Ferry have technical difficulties been elevated to performance art so effectively. SOMETIMES, THE SOUND IS BAD ENOUGH THAT YOU SHOULD STOP AND ADDRESS THE PROBLEM BEFORE CONTINUING.

followed by their not-very-subtle insistent way of asking me if I liked their set while I prepared for my own. "did you like it? so uh... what'd you think? did it sound good? did SAGE like it?"

I blew smoke like a nice guy until that last question, when I finally snapped "Shit man. I don't know. Go ask SAGE." They immediately reacted with a butt-hurt entourage huddle. B. Dolan is a fucking JERK, they says to themselves. Not knowing that even in that moment of anger I was generously sparing them the truth of Sage's critique.

Sage hated your set, Bro v. Wade. He hated it so bad he texted me to come outside and see how bad it was. Give up, Bro v. Wade. Give up.
