Jackson from Grand Buffet caught in a Pittsburgh crossfire  Reply with quote

Jackson from Grand Buffet was caught in a crossfire while biking through Pittsburgh last night. Thankfully he was only shot in the leg. Lord Grunge (the other half of Grand Buffet) notified us saying that Jackson left the hospital this morning and he should be fine. We would like to wish him a speedy recovery.

When we find out more info we will certainly let people know. I'm meeting with Lord Grunge tonight. If there's a need for a benefit to help with hospital costs you can count on SFR to help organize something. A part of me wants to Kathy Bates the guy and keep him tied to a bed so I can fanboy him back to health. Wait...what? Shhhhh.

Jackson is one of the most interesting, smart, funny and health conscious people I've ever met. I'm so grateful he didn't suffer a worse injury. Love you, man.

here's the info Jackson posted on a local messageboard yesterday. Too good:

"riding my bike past the Sunoco (121 N. NEGLEY AVENUE) in East Liberty , I hear gunshots and quickly realize that they are aimed toward my immediate area , felt a tap on my right leg by the knee area. I'm home know , there is a bleeding hole that I can stick a finger tip in and a new bump , dunno if it's shattered bone or a bullet or debris from a ricochet. gonna look into this now. this happened about fifteen minutes ago.

dudes were running fast , I couldn't tell if they were shooting at me or chasing & shooting at someone else. either way ,, these guys were goobers ! dorks ! jerks !

it's been said before , but ,,, STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THAT SUNOCO !!! (unless you are Bat Man)"

What a terrible situation to have found himself in.

This guy exudes class and is a terrific entertainer. Very glad to hear the injuries suffered were not worse, and here's to hoping for a quick recovery, and maybe a little youtube snippet of a Misery'esque fanboy rehab somewhere down the line.

This thread scared me for a second. Glad it was only the leg, though the whole scenario is horrible. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear he's okay. The title kinda scared me a bit, Grand Buffet is one of my fav groups and both Jackson and Lord Grunge make the world a better place. Lets hope to a quick recovery.

Damn, Jack can't even get no shout? Haha. He's been reduced to "A 33 year old man on a bicycle."

Show respect, Pittsburgh!

Jackson is awesome. We're tumblr buddies. That's definitely a gangsta response to a messed up situation. Hope everything works out on the cost side. If you get shot by someone else that person should be accountable for the cost.

Getting shot in the leg on your bike is pretty high level street cred.
