It's a snake! !!!!!!!

Hah. Anyway, a guy by the name of Eric Schandelmeier who works at Tatu Royal in my home town did it. He's only been tattooing about 4 years and he has already surpassed many veterans in the field. This kid is gonna go places. He does amazing work.

Looks like I'll be adding the wind bars and color next session, so for now there's a bit of blue showing. But, I'm very happy with this coverup and I got my muffuckin' koi fish!!!!

BTW, before you be hatin' on my fish.....
"According to Japanese legend, if a koi succeeded in climbing the falls at a point called Dragon Gate on the Yellow River, it would be transformed into a dragon. Based on that legend, it became a symbol of worldly aspiration and advancement.

More generally, the Japanese associate koi with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose. Because of its strength and determination to overcome obstacles, the koi fish stands for courage and the ability to attain high goals."

Blahhhhwwwww.

The legend is cool, but I like them mostly because they're fat fish. Who doesn't like a fat fish?!

You nailed it right on that, the tape kills coming off. That's the worst part of the tattooing experience.

he of course shaved all the peachfuzz on the upper part of my arm, but next time I'll tip even more if he'll shave all the way to my wrist to avoid this hell

Might I suggest re: the painful tape ripping- invest in some Glad Wrap, or seran wrap, whatever you nerdy Americans call it (it took me forever to remember the word you guys use when I was searching for it there, people working in the stores thought I was unhinged) wrap it round your arm and then just use the tiniest bit of tape along the edge of the seran wrap so that it holds it slightly but not airtight seal style. It makes the undoing a lot easier.
Another great idea is to not go to a concert the night you get your tattoo done or you will want to rage and kill every person that comes within a foot radius of you or bumps you. And then! When you get home to your hostel it will hurt so much when you unwrap it and clean in that you nearly puke into the sink numerous times. The end.
