Home Sweet Home is such an amazing song. I'm very impressed with this whole project. I love Onry's use of adlib vocals as they are clearly put into consideration when he writes songs. I do something similar but I don't do it as often. I know this is a nerdy thing to focus on, but I always notice how he makes great use of background overdubs.

That's funny, cause you're the number one rapper I think of when it comes to studio punch-in vocals, like on "Any Port."

I used to do it a lot more often. I probably got too carried away with it so I stepped back to the point where I hardly use that style anymore. Getting back into it though. It's definitely something you need to keep in mind while in the writing process though.

it's the little things like that, to me, that really make the difference. i LOVE all the adlib bv's on pj. totally make A LOT of the songs.

afro mullets, anyone?

Speaking of Sandpeople and Sapient, I just recently got into them a little bit. Anybody got any good songs by them to recommend? I really like those Sapient beats..

Sandpeople - Long Story Short EP (more like a full length though), B-Sides 1 and 2, and Honest Racket

Sapient - Make More and Famine Friends

Debaser (Sapient and Illmaculate) - Peerless (amazing record with killer guestspots by the Grouch, Eyedea, and Cage)

1) meh

2) meh

3) meh

this No Hoax stuff is fire though. If people want to start muddling the Onry attention then why not throw in every marginally talented NW rapper from the past decade. No, please don't.

Crown Control doesn't sound as cohesive to me, whereas Peerless is like Sapient saved all of his best beats. And you're right, it is Ethic. He definitely does the damn thing. Maybe I just want it to be Illmaculate. Apologies fam.

it's all good, i'm not really a fan of illmaculate though, i thought the 2cd he did with onlyone was a bit weak,i liked onlyone's cd a lot more. i prefer illmac doing guest appearances on other people's tracks or part of the crew rather than on his own.

Onry killed it more than anyone this year with DTS... and Peerless was a close second. Then all of a sudden here comes No Hoax! WTF! Onry runs rap. He is a machine.
