Not sure how I missed this when it first went live, but this stuff makes me giggle. I want more wars and trolling between music journalists.

haha...this idea of critiquing a music critic on their actual writing rather than on their criticisms is great. I haven't read any others, but the execution is flawless here.

"If only other musicians were so lucky. Well it’s good to know the guy granting clemency is the one who condones judging albums by their titles. Heavy-handed indeed. Work on your writing, kid."

Awesome.

Thats not really a bad review at all. Theres no references to obscure french composers and I can actually understand what Im reading. Its actually close to my initial impression of Illmatic. Ive since learned the error of my ways, but if you're looking for 'hit songs' its just not the album to go with. The lo-fi production and minimalist beats aren't going to appeal to everyone

I like the editors note at the bottom. and the little quote box to the right which is 1/3rd of the actual review

I'm guilty of that multiple hyphens per sentence thing in some of my writing -- but I also talk that way from time to time.

LOL.

Listening to the album again, I have to say "Polterzeitgeist" is my fav. track. Good shit, Sage.
