Something about this recording feels so transportive. It really has a way of taking you back a ways.

As for this year, it's gone by in a blink, and my wife and I now have an 11 month old boy. This recording had me thinking about my early holidays as well as picturing what his will be like.

Thanks for sharing.

I remember getting a remote control car in the mid- 80's and getting rechargeable batteries with it. Which lasted all of about 5 minutes (or so it seems looking back) per charge. The one time I put a set of real AAs in there it was so much fun, but my parents would never just buy me a big pack of AAs. Not that I'm still bitter or anything...

Funny. In the 80's I got a remote control toy car that ran on gasoline. I think I played with it twice. "I" meaning my parents.

Haha, my dad wouldn't have given a shit about that. But now that you mention it "my kids" would love one. Wait a minute! It's still Dad's turn...
