You're forgetting the tax cut on the middle class, which will be a fairly substantial benefit to the average person.

Why not just pass it without it the Bush tax cuts for the rich or the estate tax?

Would the republicans even filibuster over the holiday? How long could they keep it up?

Could they get the out going Blue Dogs and Lieberman to make it to 60 votes?
