It was just one show, but we both realized that there would be no way we could talk you into letting us stay on your couches for the week if we didn't book more!
So, we came up with the loose term "Sole & Jared Paul poetry mini-tour," which is 14 year strong vegan maniac speak for:
"The Camp Out In Frank's Living Room Tour."
Fuck direct action! We're talkin' poker, movie marathons, Celtics games on cable, veggie feasting, lots of coffee, 2am trips to the casino, vinyl- Sole's bringing the dogs too.
And the mushrooms.
I figure if we're going to break edge on this tour it's probably best to do it with B. and Tim and some powerful hallucinogenics... |

Come to Salt Lake. I'm at the University of Utah. I'm not quite sure how to get the ball rolling on it, but I could figure it out. |

Email me, homie! JAREDPAUL@GMAIL.COM
We'd love to come out to Utah. I've been let down twice out that way now! Once at UT-SLC and once at WVC in Provo. Both times the shit looked like it was on lock, and then fell through at the last minute... |

I once remember going to the side of the lake-beach at the cottage my family rents once a year. When we were teenagers, you would go to the side of the beach so the grown ups couldn't see you drinking or smoking or whatever you were doing.
This one night, I was over there to hide the fact that I was violently shroom vomiting. My cousin Dan (6"3 / 280lbs and prone to Trouble) and my crazy friend Chris (5"11 / 215 with a crazier arrest record) followed me over to see if I was ok.
The vomiting went on a long time. Longer than usual, so Chris and Dan started swapping drug stories and comparing notes to pass the time. At some point, I was paying so much attention to their story that I totally forgot I was on all fours and throwing up in the sand. I was unknowingly trying to tune out the yacking so that I couuld focus on what they were saying- for sure thinking in my head that I was standing right next to them as part of the convo.
Finally, I stopped throwing up, but just stayed on the ground and they were like, "Hey, what the fuck are you doing down there? You're not even puking anymore!"
And I was like, "You're right, I'm not! Where am I, what the fuck is going on?!"
And we all had a big laugh.
Tim, I'll throw up for 10 minutes straight while you and B. trade drug/conspiracy theories and carve canoe oars into weapons. Totally worth the risk.
*It's Francis, I'd be a little more scared of... |
