Sans the trolling, you mean?
I can't argue about there being real quality stuff posted all around, I was just adressing that it's pretty extraordinary, for an internet forum with so many members. |

The forum has become much more about the lulz in the past year or two, but maybe that's just me. I didn't even come around here till mid 2007 when the primaries were in full swing, so my initial impression of this forum was that it was extremely political, and that seems to have faded out since the election. Either way, I still love this place, and there are still a couple posters on here who I really enjoy and will go out of my way to see what they have to say about things. Also, Plum Puddin' has some insane funny skills. |

I've noticed it with just about every forum.
I don't know. It seems to be a dying way of communicating with fans.
I keep my forum open for the people who have used it to communicate with friends for the past few years, but I don't remember the last time I promoted it or told someone about it.
They can be a real pain in the ass to maintain sometimes. |

Nothing happened to the forum. Lulls are normal. Everything will be fine. |

most people who are into this type of music think i'm crazy or don't believe me about this forum. it's like bullshitting internet-style with sage, slug, mac, alias, sole, etc. etc. and they're all "... yeah right sure..." |

they're not really adapted totally to the facebook/twitter generation, which is more instantaneous and requires less thought. i wish there was a way to integrate these forums more into facebook/twitter somehow, im waiting for someone to design a facebook interface... i think you gotta upgrade to v bulletin for that....
I disagree. I am pretty sure you could install a MOD (module) that allows for new posts to be displayed as an RSS feed. For those that use Google Reader or have a smartphone with a RSS reader app, that wouldn't be a half-bad solution for creating a more instantaneous experience. A quick Google search uncovered this RSS MOD from the phpbb forums.
Obviously someone with more technical knowledge in Sage's camp would have to install it. |
