YO SAGE!  Reply with quote

Ok, I just gotta throw my two cents out here.

Motherfuckers cannot know what this means right now, really. I mean honestly...who in thier right mind can say anything remotly negative here? top to bottom, from making records to marketing them, Epitaph has been one of the models for propper buisness ethics in music, and has the history and roster to prove it.

I'm so psyched to know that Sage might actually see some of the residuals he deserves for years of being in the van.

Epitaph just signed one of the best MCs on the planet (and my homeboy!) and I must say that this is the best move that they have made since they signed Tom Waits. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Sage will probably make his best material ever in the hands of this family.

Congrats to Sage....and to Epitaph as well.

Ps: Sage, i need the following back cataglogs on wax please....

ALL
Bad Religion
Dag Nasty
Descendants
Dillinger Escape Plan.

haha.

Does this make Sage the token rapper on the label then? Sort of a weird reversal of the token black guy.... Weird! My head is about to explode

ughhhhhh
I just read a grip of those comments on the epitaph board.

Is it me or do those kids sit around all day picking shit out of their toenails and then putting it back in?
I'm not very knowledgeable in the field of "punk" and I'm not sure that I ever care to be.
-looks like ughh on aerosol fumes

I hope I'm seeing all this in the right light.
Eating pizza and drinking cheap beer has even become "a way of life".

congrats Sage

Sage, Buck and Tom Waits on a track.

Sixtoo produces?

Imagine this:
Sage, and MF Doom
w/ JOE BEATS on production
good times

p.s. who is Tom Waits?

Congrats, Sage.

And don't listen to the ignorant punk fans.

I was at the Vans Warped Tour of 1999 and it disgusted me at some of the snide racist comments that I heard when Ice-T took the stage. The whole essence of punk is rebelling against any fucking thing you want, and if "Cop Killer" isn't a punk song, then I don't know what is.

Random fan 1: "I can't believe we've got to wait and listen to this n***** shit."

Random fan 2: "Yeah, this sucks. I can't wait for the Dropkick Murphys to show this n***** what real music is like."

Huh? WHAT?! Do you kids realize that DH Peligro was black? Do you realize that 99% of the drummers in today's punk bands were probably influenced by him? Do you realize that without Fishbone, there probably wouldn't be bands like Less Than Jake or Mustard Plug or bands of that sort? There's a huge intellectual difference between being "punk" and being hateful, and some of those fans just make me sick.

So, keep on keepin' on. It's great you signed with a major label with minor influences on the people that they sign. Can't wait for HOPE.
