Jeeeaaaaaaaaaaah.

Ever since seeing this song live at Webster it's become one of my favorites on the album. So happy to see a video for it.

Adding visuals always breathes new life into songs for me. I watch music videos all night long instead of sleeping.

It's also just really well done. It's like those old Tool videos except at the end I want to hug someone. The Tool videos made me want to lock myself in my childhood bedroom.

This video is amazing. Wow. This almost (might) top The Best Of Times video. Which, I didn't think was possible so quick. People need to see this ASAP. I'm posting it on facebook right meow.

Thanks guys. I hope this goes without saying, but I'd really appreciate it if this video was posted on other forums and blogs/sites that any of you might be associated with. I've been feeling like a one-man hype machine for too long. Need to upgrade my chest plate.

I wish I could see a "making of" video. Any other details like how long it took to make this, or other stuff this guy does?

My favorite song on the album is still holding up as Little Houdini. I don't know if there would be an adequate budget for what I have envisioned in my head as a video for it.

Since Jim Foltice isn't an active member on the forum I'll toot his horn for him. Dude deserves it.

The video took over 1000 total man hours to make. The overwhelming majority by Jim himself. All the puppets and sets were built by hand out of sheet metal, wire, rods, and dissembled cameras, watches, and radios. Most of the sets are built from Styrofoam on wooden frames, textured with found objects, and hand painted. Each puppet is in between 1 and 2 feet tall, built on fully poseable armatures and screwed down to the set for each scene.

The entire film was shot in HD on a Cannon camera using Dragon Stop Motion software and the individual shots (over 10,000) were laid end to end and edited using After Effects. After the few digital effects were added and the shots were all color corrected each scene was exported into Final Cut pro where the final cut of the film was edited together.

Over the course of filming Jim was gradually transformed from a 'creamer in my coffee' guy to a strictly all black coffee drinker. Averaging 2 pots a day, and at one point had to visit a doctor due to exhaustion and malnourishment.

He's directed one other stop motion short film called "Harry Hill", which actually won a few festivals. Check it out here > http://www.videomaker.com/video/watch/contest-winners/2008/130/best-animation-harry-hill/ .

He doesn't have a website for his production company yet, but you can find him on Facebook and Twitter (@Jim_Foltice), so add his ass. Very cool dude, and I'm sure he'd appreciate any comments you guys have to send his way.

Might have some behind the scenes photos to post later... waiting to get the OK first. Big ups to both Sage and Jim though, the video turned out dope.
