i really just stared at the screen for 5 minutes after the finale ended, with my jaw slack.

Rita's death was stupid. Her character wasn't nearly compelling enough to warrant that twist so it felt like a cheap ploy. She reminded me a lot of Skyler from Breaking Bad. They played up the "nagging suspicious bitch" angle too much and it made her flat and boring. Shows like sons of anarchy make dexter seem sloppy and juvenile in comparison.

I think it's less about the death of Rita and more about the fact that his son now experienced the exact same thing that made Dexter who he is (aka, who he has grown to hate).

That was my take on it, though.

Dope ending, wasnt expecting Rita to die though. Aynway I wanted to ask without opening another topic, any other good watchable tv shows??? Now that Dexter is over, Californication too, i need something to cheer up winter days..

If someone got anything in mind spill it out.

This season of "It's Always Sunny" is over as well, so don't count on it to relieve you for too long.

Watch a season and curiosity will deepen into full-on mystery

I watched this show right up until the plot twist about his brother also being a genius killer arch-nemesis and then it was as though I woke from a spell.

my girlfriend's initial theory was that elliott killed rita...which could make sense, but doesn't seem to be the case.

Hahaha, seriously... TRINITY DID IT... there's nothing else to it. Lithgow and the writers/producers have already talked about it plenty, it was that evil fuck who stabs women in bathtubs, not the horny neighbor who Dexter already knocked back into his place.
