i know that Kristoff Krane/Abzorbr takes 17 spots on my itunes Top 25 Most Played playlist.

he's been my favorite artist for quite some time now, and i hold him above any poet/writer known to man. dead or alive. that's just me though.

Well, sort of. More like I'm in the nebulous triangle somewhere between those three points at any given time. Mostly Saginaw. I did not know you were a Michigander.

For those in Minneapolis, Kristoff Krane is playing the Guante and Big Cats! release show tomorrow night (12/12) at the Bedlam Theater. Dude has a very unique live show.

Would have loved to go, but I've been sick as hell since my first post. There you go, the curse of Kristoff Krane

Now that I've had time to digest the album I have to say that I am greatly impressed by Krane's lyricism and cadence. I had quite a few wow moments as the record progressed. The majority of the beats are good, more innovative than your standard hip hop album, though a few of these tracks are, in my opinion, throwaways beat-wise. All in all though it's a very impressive full-length.

I saw this guy touring with Eyedea a while back if I recall correctly. Was very impressed, he has a lot of stage presence and an accessible style. Also he's clear as day over a less than stellar sound system, which always scores points. It sucks to go a show and be like, yeah that guys cadence and delivery was pretty cool, but I have no fucking clue what he said. Real friendly guy too, seemed legitimately interested in talking to people from the crowd, not just tolerating their presence like some emcees... (sage I am looking in your direction! jk). I'll peep this...normally I don't buy records that I can't steal first, but maybe I'll make an exception.

Hoping to work with Kristoff for a track on my next album... Played a show with him in good ole' SanDiego, love the fact that he rocked the whole show from a stool on stage. One of those performers out there that is telling stories and talking to an audience, not just rapping at them. Good to see his album in the SFR store.
