As it turns out, labelless was a no-show, or a late-show, and didn't end up playing... so i went on around 10 and did a 25 or so minute set before yak beezy.

Very good show. Can't think of how it could've gone better, actually. Thanks toeveryone that came out, including Stormy D, Prolyphic & Sandrine (sp?)... Time for sleeping.

Wait. There's an emcee named Labelless? Who doesn't show up to shows on time or doesn't show up at all?

Maybe that's why he's labelless :P

I was having this same conversation w/ a friend at the Cage show at Belly Up a couple weeks back. I wonder if he committed career suicide by choosing such a terrible emcee name. Ah well. That Gas Galaxy song he's playing on the tour is the most impressive thing he's done to date. And Cage killed it by the way... by far the most focused I've ever seen him.

B killed it and definitely won over a large number of previously uninitiated fans. Though some were frightened by the Hillary Clinton mask.

Yak Ballz had a sweet leather jacket.

Cage announced he was sick and thus didn't move, performed with the house lights off for most of the set, and sounded pretty much like the record.

Yak Ballz was a name Bobbito gave him when Yak worked at Footwork in 1999 or thereabouts. Maybe it was 1998. It's a play on his real name.
