Out-classed by Swell and Sentence once again! Meter Maids ripped it with poise and schwagggger through the roof. They packed the room and had the whole place screaming every hook. Very impressive.

Alan & I will be bringing them out to play a PFA show sometime this Fall or early winter!

So last night in NYC with PFA was pretty fucking amazing.

This was my second time seeing them, and I have been blown away both times. The band is so tight, Alan's guitar work is ridiculous, and of course Jared brings the fucking ruckus.

It is not as easy thing for a band to come to New York and win over a crowd, and PFA have done it with ease both times. So hats off from me.

And between seeing Sage and B. at Rock the Bells, and having PFA down last night, I am just fully in love with Strange Famous Records. Metermaids may not be SFR artists, but we will continue to wave the flag.

We got some video of last night --

Here is PFA doing "Men in Control"

And here is Jared doing "Shades Off" with us, which ruled

If PFA come to your town, and you don't see them, you are dumb. That's all there is to it.

I gotta change my pants now.

hahahahaha

All day afternoon into the night indy punk festivals in broken down port cities can be tough- the numbers were low for Mouth Sewn Shut and the Midnight Creeps as well, which was a shame. But we got to see some great music, especially that surprise set from Stress Bomb! Waaaaaay better than I expected live.

So far so good though, Lansing Michigan was the only proper stinker so far.

By our count the record looks like this:

7/22- PFA vs. AS220 - W
7/23- PFA vs. Arlenes - L
7/25- PFA vs. El n' Gee - L
7/26- PFA vs. Oswego - W
7/27- PFA vs. Mac's shit Bar - Tie
7/28- PFA vs. Weiser House - W
7/29- PFA vs. 7th Street - W
7/29- PFA vs. St. Paul Opera House - W

Point system takes into account how we played, crowd response, attendance, venue, and overall show experience.

8 shows into a 26 game Season and we're 5 - 2 - 1, hungry for the play-offs. Heading west with swagger and climbing morale. Ft. Collins, SLC, and Boise next.

*Arlene's was only an L because we should've been more prepared to deal with the hipster staff, lack of communication during sound check/set up or no. It was a great venue for us to rip it in, and ultimately, we could've played a lot better.

I was more than happy to get that signature on the CD in new London, and while it was one of the smaller crowds I definitely had an awesome time there for sure. See you around.

Here's a small batch of pic's from the record release show. This bunch is just me but more shots of the whole band from multiple shows will be posted soon. These were taken by my good friend Billy Sennecal.

Some pics from last night's show at the Boing Collective in Salt Lake City (and some road pics). It was a great, grimy little house show, with about 25 people packed in to a small, small space. Thanks to everybody who came out - we had a great time!

Cutoff t-shirts, sweat galore, and hairy-pit ladies seems like an awesome road trip/tour to me. Keep on truckin, gents.
