i do enjoy oliver heart alot more though, that is a fantastic album

i agree with you, and i am wondering how this track will sound on the album.
Eyedea and Abilities have always embodied the basic elements of hip hop, and took lyricism and turntablism to the next level. i feel this is going to end up along the lines of eyedea's Carbon Carousel work.

Rappers who are not named "Cee-Lo" probably should stop singing... the success rate is so very low.

I wish they would have had a band on stage creating the music live. Eyedea does need back up on the live singing. Abilities skills are incredible.

I disagree with most of you though, as the new direction is great. My only issue with the new music is that there is not enough.

I'm really excited for this album. Eyedea's singing has some technical problems but I think the song itself is a lot better for having that component to it.

I just saw their set yesterday at rock the bells. It sounded considerably better than this recording, and i thought the majority of the songs did show off abilities better-unless that was just jazzed up for the live version.

Live, eyedea's voice was a little more blown, so it took the nasal edge off, and the sound was muddier, putting him a little under the music. the combo made it sound fairly decent. they had started before i walked up though, and from a a distance I had no idea it was e and a, and I also thought they had snuck an indie rock band on the rtb line up.

so yeah...if you are looking for by the numbers hip-hop, this isn't going to be the record for you. i actually am more interested to hear the record than i was when i saw this piece of shit video.

eyedea has changed a lot as an artist since E&A dropped. His recent work has been refreshing to me, like a sprinkler on a hot summer day. Part of me wanted this album to be a return to the old E&A style, but another part of me hates the digression.

on the first listen i was pissed off because its not what i was expecting but now actually i really like it a lot. the band sound is great for this time, when you get an e&a project your gonna get something different so i think this pretty much falls in line.
