B. Dolan - "R.S.V.P." (free download FTW)  Reply with quote

In between Rock The Bells tour dates and thinking evil thoughts about Justin Timberlake, B. Dolan has been furiously plugging away at his new SFR album, Fallen House, Sunken City, with producer Alias.

On the side, Dolan has also been working with Buddy Peace to compile some exclusive outtakes and unreleased tracks in the form of House Of Bees Volume 1, a free mixtape that SFR will be offering to you very soon.

In the meantime, check the SFR homepage to get your B. Dolan fix with this FREE DOWNLOAD of the first leaked track from the House of Bees tape, R.S.V.P.

And yes, that is MF Dov Charney, CEO of American Apparel, dissing Knowmore.org on the outtro. Luckily, we have no dignity whatsoever.

R.S.V.P.
(b.dolan)

I'm from the murder capital
Where we murder for capital.

Where the powerful stay silent
as thousands lay dying.

What kind of evil would let people drown in their lungs?
Bury their daughters and sons down in the mud?
Place the blame with the fortunate ones
The same who made a profit from agent orange
Sprayed Vietnam with napalm
Mutations for generations in the places they bomb
But escape to the states to evade law
Like December 3, 1984
40 tons of lethal gas leak from a factory in Bhopal
Safety catches turned off by the company boss
More than 20,000 dead and negligence was the cause
and 100,000 more were injured and stillborn
and the rat fuck to blame for it all
ain't never had a day in court.
Private jets take off
Arrive in the U.S.
Where they send in a bomb threat if you harbor a 'terrorist'
Body count of Bin Laden times ten
Got a million dollars house in the fucking hamptons...

And his name is Warren Anderson...
929 Ocean Ave.
Bridgehampton NY 11716

When the doctors on the ground
Who were treating the sick
Needed to know from the CEO
the composition
of chemicals that choked victims in their hospital beds,
they begged for Mr. Anderson to put a stop to the death
He was response-able but not non-responsive
didn't choose to save people.
Lucifer knew the truth but he called it a trade secret
Flew the coop,
Touched glue,
Paid off the bail easy.
Supposed to be in hiding but thanks to the DMV
the location of a snakeden is still public information
got with any car registration
so you ain't hard to reach...
Run and tell the State Department "No justice no peace!"
For the Butcher of Bhopal and all killer companies
R.S.V.P.
for the cocktail party.

Send your R.S.V.P. to:

Calling all cars, calling all cars...
This is an APB: mass murderer at large...
Be on the lookout for a black cadillac
with a white man inside
sitting on fat stacks.

Calling all cars, calling all cars...
This is an APB: mass murderer at large...
Give the dead rest,
Give victims the truth
or don't get upset when chickens come home to roost.

This guys got a lot of houses...

Sweet song. I'd really like to hear the rest of that clip of the phone conversation if it is possible.

That falls under the "coming very soon" category.

Or you can get one at a RTB show.

And if you did get one at the RTB show, please keep it off the internets until the time is right. That's all we ask.

After hearing this last night and grinning like a spoilt child at Christmas, I had a discussion with my girlfriend about this one.

There doesn't seem to be many people in the music industry, especially "hip hop" (wherever that genre has disappeared to...), who write important, hard-hitting songs like this any more. For me personally it instantly evoked comparisons to early Public Enemy/BDP which I haven't felt for faaaaar too long with Hip-Hop. Although I don't think Chuck or Kris ever wrote anything this direct or with such a disregard for getting themselves in the shit!!!
Necessary and brave as hell not to mention super dope.
Thanks a lot.

I don't know a great deal about the legal system over there but my Girlfriend is worried you might get sued for giving out the addresses! For once, I hope she's wrong. Maybe it's OK if it's a free song? I don't know.
I'd like to find out though because THAT could be an interesting next project...Hmmm.

Incredible work.
Thanks.
Mike

I couldn't agree more man - I was surprised too when I heard the addresses and like you said, you really don't hear this kind of thing these days. I was also thinking about what the potential trouble could be with the addresses and such but when I heard this :
"the location of a snakeden is still public information"
It made more sense - I guess if it is public information you can do what you like... It's an area I know nothing on though so I just don't know. I honestly don't think I've heard addresses given out on a track though! I love it.

It reminds me a bit of 'We Had Tear This MF Up' by Ice Cube - he doesn't call out the addresses of the Rodney King-beating policemen but he comes close... He just mentions the general area I think. Different cast of characters but B Dolan personally takes it there and rings the doorbell.

I love this song, but I also wondered about the legality of leaking the address especially in that context. But if Bill O'Reilly can get doctors murdered with no repurcussions, then I'm sure this is okay too.

Sick song.
