Awesome post Sequence. Producing a beat for One Be Lo, eh? Does this come back to the Michigan connection? Your life seems awesome! |

I seem to be about eight years behind on new technology all the time. Got the internet for the first time in 2003, finally got a cell phone in 2006, and in keeping with tradition, just got a digital camera this week. I'll try to get something in here, though my boring ass days generally consist of work and working in the garden...so probably won't be much to see. This is a great thread. |

Damn. Since I'm unemployed and out of school, my "day in the life" would probably never leave the house, statistically speaking. Some of you guys seem to have it made, though, congrats! I do have a day cool enough to post a couple times a month, though. Summer's almost here and my girl is finishing school, so things might be getting a bit more exciting! You guys are gonna love my vegetable garden.
If I did a photo essay of today it would be like: Waffles, water balloon fight, squirt gun battle, spitting on the ball and then throw it at your opponent battle, monkey in the middle with like a 5 pound rubber ball with pink sparkles, Texas Hold 'em (won the 15 dollar pot), push swingers on the swing, walk the dog/skateboard with a kid sitting on the board I'm riding, kill it in rockband, get whooped in mario kart, nail final jeopardy (whitman), cover the kids' ears during Curb (the one where the French chef has Tourette's), lose all my Dad's fake money in online Texas Hold 'em, read this awesome thread.
Who knew hanging out with my 8-year old cousin and her ginger friend (think Lindsay Lohan from those 90's Disney movies) could be this much fun? |

Icarus: Thanks, though I doubt I warrant such praise...my life is pretty crazy and I love it for the most part. I do really lead two entirely separate lives, I try to keep them totally separate from one another. When they bleed into each other, or interfere with each other, things get complicated--particularly because I love philosophy but hate academia.
Captiv8: yes, Michigan connection. I'm part of Ann Arbor/Detroit DJ crew called The Unfadeables. My friend Danté, who is one of my oldest and dearest friends, has been performing and promoting with Lo for 12 years or so at this point. Danté is finishing his next mixtape right now (I'm coming back to the D next Saturday to help him finish....Michigan peeps, get at me); he wanted to re-write verses to Doing Dumb Shit by Ice Cube with Paradime and Lo doing one verse each as well--stealing Cube's flow, cadence, etc. and re-writing the rhymes. The problem is, there is no instrumental to Doing Dumb Shit. So I was tasked with remaking the beat, which I just finished. I'm pretty stoked about it.
RD: I sleep in the loft because, as B. could attest to, my apartment is like the size of a dorm room. And it strangely does smell like a hamster's cage. I'm about to move and will no longer have to deal with said loft, I'm pretty excited about it. |

I'm flying in to Detroit next Saturday, heading back to PDX on Thursday the 28th. I'll be in A2 for at least a bit. Email me, adam dot arola at gmail. We should try to get together. |

since when does marijuana have a corporate logo?
and how do you use half a condom? playing a game of "just the tip?" And why use a condom if you are just smoking weed and flicking your bean to porn on your Mac?
I'm assuming that the above schedule depicts the life of a woman. hence the makeup. |

Ha yeah it was for a woman, I had come across it right after reading this thread and thought it was kind of appropriate, although it is definitely confusing at parts. Just kind of made me take a step back for a second and reflect on how much I use/consume in any given day. And I have no fucking clue how you use half a condom. |

So this is more of a weekend in the life, and it's more extraordinary than regular, but here you go:
This happy chap reminded me of the so-called Barrel Monster.
This deer was remarkably calm and I actually thought the little bastard was going to wander up the car. He darted off into the woods a few seconds after this.
Essentially the view from the condo.
The following day at the Traverse City Cherry Festival with my lady! I'm drinking unfiltered sake, which tasted like the panda jizz it looks like.
This is when the GPS is wrong and you end up driving through the woods looking for the goddamn entrance to Sleeping Bear Dunes because a bridge was out. Worth it for the picture.
Picnic time after we made it into the park!
The view from said park. That's little and big Glen Lakes, respectively.
Even up here in Sleeping Bear someone took the time to honor the King of Pop.
It's hard to tell from this pic, but that's a 450 foot climb to the top from the shore of Lake Michigan. On sand. At a 70 percent gradient.
Some dude secured his seven year old daughter into this contraption and launched off the cliff with her screaming. I thought they were going to die but they just coasted into Lake Michigan.
Dinner at the end of an exhausting day with nature. It's vermicelli with red pepper, mushroom, and onion alfredo and wholesome romaine salad with cherry tomatoes and Havarti cheese. And champagne. And a sunset. (Unpictured). |
