Finally and album I really dig. I paid him no attention with his releasing a song a day, the concept didn't hype me but I haven't heard something I like this much in a while.

Yea buddy, this is a premature post. I haven't listened to it enough yet an have to let it sink in to see how I feel about it completely, but first listen aesthetically it's great and I trust Lif.

The only Lif release I have ever liked was that EP on Def Jux with the stencils on the cover... what was that called again? I have it but don't feel like looking. I think he's a great rapper but I don't usually like his albums. Perceptionists is great, better than him and Akro separately for sure.

I know absolutely nothing about this new record but for some reason, I have a good feeling about it. Thanks for the heads up.

I liked Emergency Rations and I, Phantom.

When does this come out? Any tracks streaming somewhere?

I think you're talking about emergency rations (jesse), it has some planes on it with bombs dropping? - great record.

Prefer lif solo to the perceptionists myself, i still rate black dialogue - but I Phantom is sooo sosoosso good. cant wait to hear this, completely forgot it was on its way

Yes! That's the one. Your prize for getting it is that I'm going to put it on the turntable right now.

For whatever reason, I didn't like I Phantom. I totally thought I was going to love it and it left me cold. I think I don't have a lot of patience for wage slave anthems? (yeah that includes Labor Days) There must have been something else, too... hm. Maybe that's the one I should put on, to see what's up with me.

I've been listening to the emergency rations ep on Youtube a lot lately, it's great.
As for I Phantom, listen and tell me you don't think the beat in Return of the B-Boy is amazing Jesse... listen and love it...

I've got Emergency Rations, really enjoyed it, and never picked up I Phantom for some unknown reason. Somebody report back with which is better, this or I Phantom so I know which one to purchase next.

Like I said before Emergency Rations is the only Lif I had thus far. I looked on Pitchfork.com today and the new album is reviewed. I was surprised to see it only got a 5.3 while I Phantom got an 8.3 and Mo Mega got a 7.9. I don't put much faith into Pitchfork reviews, but I for some odd reason, I can't explain, am interested in what they score albums at. I had forgot all about Mo Mega...is that any good? I'm pretty sure I Phantom is my next purchase unless ya'll really recommend one of the others.
