They don't exist anymore. The guy who filmed those spots posted them on youtube a while back and they were removed. I'm guessing the network television gods were like "oh hellllll no."

The internet is a strange place... it's a fucking waste-treatment facility for the world, where we all strain out some of the oddest, grossest, or most unlikely shit of the world and put it together in a mix. The 'net is a head trip for me tonight...

i plan on getting there early to make sure i get in to this without a wristband but i was wondering if ANY of the SFR artists are playing any of the day parties for people without wristbands or just more opportunities to see them?

oh and if you guys need a "roadie" of some sorts for the show.. you know, carry in the equipment, help with merch, run errands... umm.. let me know, ha

Haven't seen anything yet and I'm sure this can and will change. Of course there is the Chicharones Boat Show on Sunday (3/22) that will feature solo performances from Sleep and 2mex. Tickets are supposedly selling fast so if you want to go you can buy them here.. no lines or wristbands/badges required: http://tickets.frontgatetickets.com/choose.php?a=1&lid=29939&eid=35872&pl=76

This is going to be one crazy week! I've been using http://sxsw2009.sched.org/ to track what shows I want to check out. The list doesn't discriminate, it lists unofficial shows/parties/events too.

it's a bit overwhelming, innit?

People are like, "Oh you're gonna have so much fun!!!"

meanwhile I have anxieties out the ass. I just want things to go right. That's all I want in life. ha

well if it's any consolation.. i visited the venue again recently for the first time in over a year and what used to be a run down poor excuse of a stage is a nicely constructed, large stage with a roof on it so much nicer than before. Still the same large beer garden outside where the show will be and usually the sound is on point....

I don't think you'll have any problems :P Austin and the SXSW people are great and are there to make everything go smoothly. I'm sure there will be disappointed people though since the show will sellout. Just remember kids, GET THERE EARLY if you don't have a badge or wristband. I went to a SXSW show at Emo's two years ago (Aesop Rock, El-P, Brother Ali w/ Slug, Galactic w/ Gift of Gab and Boots Riley etc...) and I was there two hours before the music started and still had to wait 15 minutes in line. An hour later the line was strolling down 6th Street.

Again, pick the shows you want to see and get there early which means at least one and a half hours before the FIRST ACT STARTS, not the main act. That still won't guarantee you'll get in so if possible have a backup plan. If you have a badge or wristband.. lucky you!

This makes me want to die of some sort of jealousy/envy-related illness. That's pretty much my ideal line-up, minus SoS, and short of winning the lottery I'll never get to see any of it. Grrr, why did I have to be born in England?

Haha. My therapist brought up SXSW today, she was like "I wish I could go to SXSW", and I was like "I think everyone I know is going there to perform this year".

Seriously. It's ridiculous.
