SFR poster (signed by the entire SFR roster)  Reply with quote

Pete from a crew called Ghost-Town designed these for us and asked if he could print some up. He has a poster print place across from our office. The posters they do are sick. So big ups to him for putting this together on the fly.

there are 200 limited prints, signed and numbered by Pete.

We have two separate versions. One cheaper version and a more expensive version signed by the whole SFR roster.

Available here: http://www.strangefamousrecords.com/store/limited-sxsw-poster-signed-by-the-sfr-roster-p-243.html

These select few posters are signed by Sage Francis, Buck 65, 2Mex, B. Dolan, Scroobius Pip, Sleep, Prolyphic, Cecil Otter, Jared Paul, Curtis Plum, and DJ Jester!

I hope these are available online. Possibly signed too. In fact, I'd prefer mine to be signed.

That is real fly. Interesting choices of who to single out for special emphasis, though. Was that his decision or the label's?

Like not to take anything away from Sleep or B., but I think that Buck and 2mex would probably draw more interested parties to the showcase, wouldn't they?

Maybe I'm speaking through my hat and those people only have a bigger draw within a 100 km radius of me.

the artist chose those names, but it works for what i'm going for.

This line up, in the order of their appearance at the showcase, is scattered as far as artist draw and popularity goes. That's how it go at the SXSW show.

That makes sense, of course, I just thought the more recognizable names would grab attention for the little guys a bit more.

Far be it from me, however, to impugn upon your indie rap promo acumen! It is no secret that you know what you're doing.

That looks super rad- I'm so glad people still print posters. Even in limited quantities like this, they feel so special.

Due to a regrettable manufacturing error, they have been printed as postage stamps.

I guess I'll know for sure on Friday but I'm pretty sure they're going to be large. But not overly large. Dimensions, numbers, and maps escape me for the most part so I can't even give you a guesstimate.

I've been to Sleep (and Chicharones) shows in Texas with a much bigger crowd than the last local 2mex show. The last local Buck show had a lot more people than 2mex but not any more than Sleep. I think Sleep and Josh Martinez's quantity and quality of SXSW shows (I think they did FIVE shows a couple years ago) and especially the SXSW boat shows have drastically increased their popularity in Texas. I saw them in San Antonio three years ago and less than a month ago. There was easily 10 times as many people there.

Nice poster btw! I'll definitely pick one up if I can get into the show. Fingers crossed...
