Shane Hall "Basic Draining" CD+MP3 Available Now  Reply with quote

...that's Messiah Carey, for those who don't know.

Shane Hall, longtime SFR affiliate, has been recording and performing various styles of music for the past 15 years. Punk rock, hip-hop, rock and roll...you name it. He's done it all and he's done it well. On his newest release, "Basic Draining," Hall delivers an indie-folk album dedicated to the art of self-examination and he does it great.

Although "Basic Draining" is not a hip-hop record, the overall content and vibe of the album is very similar to kind of projects we house here at SFR. A clear example of the kindred spiritualism we share is the song "The Fat Lady of Limbourgh," produced by Strange Famous' own Buddy Peace. This song is available as a free download on the front page of www.SFRstore.com for a limited time only.

We are proud to be the first store to offer this album to the world, not only as a CD but also as a digital download. Thank you, Mr. Hall!

I had the chance to grab this directly from Shane the other day.

and, well.. the CD made my day.

I'll have to say "Not Worth The Trouble" is my favorite song on the album.

I wish I new enough about making music to be able to better compliment this album...

But all and all, while listening to it... it made me feel. (yes emo, no masturbatio).

And speaking of... I'd recommend getting the digi-pack, there's a picture inside that blew my mind a bit... I'm still trying to figure it out.

I haven't used my visa in a couple months but I think I just might have to break it out for this.

Looking forward to hearing this.

Definitely going to be ordering this soon.

Shane, is there any way to acquire any of your old hip-hop stuff? I'd love to hear it.

i haven't heard the final version, but i've heard plenty of early versions, and the shit is really great. it's diverse, and shane knows how to do that shit right.

i gotta agree with "not worth the trouble" being one of my favorites, but i also don't know what made the final cut. "fat lady of limbourgh" has been a favorite since i heard that shit at an open mic. i probably wouldn't know any of eno's stuff if not for that. hah.

i'm excited to finally see it in like.. product form.
