Speaking on Personal Journals, the Anticonquistador tour, the Atmosphere tour, the Sick of Waiting Tables CD, "what I see in 5 years", my age, and more....

It's the first track on the playlist at www.myspace.com/sagefrancis

Some original material as well. Busting out the jams.

There was a Jezuz shout out in there, but the interview is edited. In fact, the interview goes for an hour or more and it simply loses all entertainment value when you're listening to this shit for too long. But I think it's a good 9 minute piece. And before anyone asks, yes I was on a lot of coke. I've stopped with that shit because I just can't take the high fructose anymore.

That singing you do the verses in reminds me of an indie Blizzard Man.

Sage, you used to be terrible in interviews. very punk rock. when did you decide to stop fooling around with interviewers and taking interviews a little more seriously? did it have to do with the caliber of the interviewer, the publication, or what?

I forgot to whole phony age thing, too. what was the meaning behind that?

I was just excited and trying to carry interviews into some place interesting. I've since given up on that hustle. ha. I was also hanging out with people who were terminally sarcastic which is an annoying east coast crutch. I'm still annoying to a lot of people I'm sure, but I've definitely shed a lot of the nonsense. Life, responsibilities, and time limitations just got a lot more real.

As for the age thing, I didn't want to be lumped in with young up-and-comers. I felt like I had been doing my thing for much longer than them and I wanted it to seem like I was an old dude trying to regain his youth. Something like that anyway. There actually is a science to the whole thing, it wasn't completely arbitrary. There was reasoning involved. And now that I actually am 32 years old I'm in the process of bringing everything full circle. Trying to put the finishing touches on something that has brought me success, strife, troubles and triumphs.

No leisure time in 2009.
2010...yoga and zen.
